A modern police drama story. A young man gets shot in a riot and the police are blamed, but no shots have been fired. Mysterious!

Sounds like a usual teenage story about a runaway realizing her home was better than the streets. Wouldn't read.

I only love backstage

Hm... A bit long :D About somebody in a hopeless situation. Lots of death.

If it didn't have good cover art, I probably wouldn't pick it up.

P.S. (This is just becuse it's you posting :D) Is by any chance manga or anime?

(LOL! The "note" thing, I suspect, tipped you off? Na, it's about a wonderful singer who was extremely poor in the early 1900s.)

It sounds like a love story between "Kushiel" who put a picture of himself as his avatar, and a girl fell in love it, and eventually they meet. I wouldn't read.

"The Da Vinci Code" type thriller, with some mad criminal doing the bidding of a mysterious religious leader. I wouldn't read, sorry.

Warp and Woof. (Yeah, I know I've already tried this one, but I want to try again.)

In the future (or very distant past?) a group of dogs run a Star Fleet like community. This particular novel deals with the discovery of the warp engine/speed.

A philosopher gets tangled up with a mystery concerning the spooky-looking nearby theatre.

When I posted Warp and Woof the first time, the person connected with canine thingies as well! And it has nothing to do with dogs! GRRRRR! I think the "woof" bit gets to people's heads. :)

Phoenix Tears.

Doesn't sound English....A new country has been formed out of desperation. Two African nations looking for peace resort to this, as a place to "house" citizens who wish to be united with the other country.

(Sorry ShadowTwit. Maybe you'll need to change the wording?)

A dark and depressing novel about a teen with no real problems, but who likes to complain about them anyway. I wouldn't normally read it. ('Pain' is kind of a teen-angst trigger word for most ).

A math teacher explains to an orphan about the rules of symmetry, and adopts him. I might glance at the blurbs, if the cover art was good XD

The Song-Seeker

The day, which was one of the first of spring, cheered even me by the loveliness of its sunshine and the balminess of the air. I felt emotions of gentleness and pleasure, that had long appeared dead, revive within me. Half surprised by the novelty of these sensations, I allowed myself to be borne away by them, and forgetting my solitude and deformity, dared to be happy.
— Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
