Title Feedback

Honestly, my first thought was "Harry Potter what?" Then I pushed that aside and thought about, and it really doesn't do anything for me anyway. Very generic, very vague. Nothing to really catch a reader's interest.

Barrowthief

Mmm...probably a story about a character who steals something, but it isn't literal. Like...maybe they "steal" someone's love. Or, it isn't about a thief at all. o.O

I'm going to be sneaky and post three titles that I'm playing around with to see what you guys think.

Edge of the Blade
Emerald Sword
Archer's Legend

I have some ideas specifically for the third title that'd be variations of it. For any of them, it'd be medieval/fantasy, so...yeah. o.o

All of them sound like they could be titles of a related trilogy. Edge of the Blade could be about an outcast who has taken to living as a mercenary. He hooks up with a woman who's brilliant with a bow. Through the first two book, they go on an epic adventure to reconcile the man with his family, and for the woman to become a legend and fufil a prophecy sort thing. In the last book, Archer's Legend, the man is reconciled, but the woman fufils the legend as it was foretold. The catch is that it wasn't told very clearly, and no one realized the woman had to die in order to fufil the prophecy. So she dies, and the man is heartbroken, but he goes home with his family and lives happily ever after, but never gets married.

Dreamlords.

Mhm, lets just start out that I like the title XD If it had interesting cover art, I'd probably pick it up.

Anyway, Dreamlords... Hm, something about the power to fulfill dreams? Or the other way around, I suppose. Or something about Dreamland


The Queen's Family

Sounds cool, kind of like a story about the part of the royal family that gets ignored. Otherwise I'd have no idea what it was about. Unless it was suggested to me, and sounded relativity good, though, I wouldn't pick it up.

Play it up

Sounds like a mystery opening with a poker scene. (You like those kinds of things, eh?) I wouldn't read...

Carnival of the Legends

Sounds like it will be a hectic, fast paced thriller. With some great under lying secret.....

Hm... Can't say much, I think it is a name. Maybe of the main character? Or maybe its a place...

It sounds so ...weird. I wouldn't pick it up, because I have no clue what it is, or what it is about...

Well, romantic fiction I think. Maybe someone trying to get the one they love for another?

um, 6/10 because it doesn't make much sense to me. Would I read it? YEAH.

Carnival of Dreams

sounds like a story about someone trying to pursue their dreams and jus about everything goes wrong in a wacky fashion.

in eternal flame

Sounds like a really quirky I-am-so-unloved-and-angst-driven romance with a love of plot twists that make no sense.




The Grace of Night

It's beautiful, but doesn't exactly tell me anything about the story. It is nice, and I might pick it up if the cover looked cool. It could be something nice, but it just doesn't.... speak to me. I suppose?

The Curtain Call

Makes me think of stage productions. Maybe a murder mystery dealing with a play of some kind?
