(After twenty pages, I'm back on a whim. ^_~)

Thought I've already read the story, the title itself gives me the impression of a higher type of fantasy - something vaugely Tolkien. At least that's the initial impression, but after I thought about it for a while, it took on more of an ominous feel (maybe from the fallow, hinting at the inactive and lingering?) It's a good title, in any event.

A story about the colorblind, non-synesthetic son of synesthetic artist parents. He feels out of place in his colorful family until he finds that he can make interesting, black-and-white collage art. I'd read.

The French brings a rather dubious connotation of romance to the thing, and the contradiction or question in it makes me think of the romantic comedy. ^_^'' I'm afrad it's not my thing inthe least, but the language would catch my attention.

Hello, Imp, fancy meeting you here. ^_~

I think I already did this one, a while back... and I still find it subtley beautiful. It reminds me of Gogol, for some reason. I would definitely pick this up, read the back and likely read the first two chapters before someone tried to drag me out of the bookstore and I had to make the judgement on whether or not to buy it. ^_~ (Which would be yes, if the writing lives up to the title).

(Imp, I always end up running your titles through Google to try and figure out what they might mean. *fail* Yes, romantic comedy. You win.)

[s]I'm thinking a story about the Russian Orthodox Church. Something like The Da Vinci Code, maybe, but focusing on ikons, and better written and less blasphemous.[/s]

I'm thinking a modern/sci-fi retelling of the Prometheus, with the addition of an illicit love affair, cigarettes, and an arsonist. I'd read.

(Sorry Meep, I got ahead of you.)

To be perfectly honest, it made me think of 'IBM', which is of course hopelessly entangled with computers. It keeps bringing to mind technology of some sort - I'd have to study the cover art for a while and try to glean more clues.

I'm seeing a humorous, somewhat short story, set in the 1800s, dealing with a woman who is looked down upon by her peers for being a bit lighthearted, maybe a spendthrift, but she holds a secret deep inside.

Fantasy chick-flick, Nancy-Drewesque. I'd avoid.

More romance, perhaps, but on a heavier note than Meep's. Again, I'm not sure what I'd do with it...romance is decidedly not Imp's genre.

((actually, not romance at all...lol))

Lifeguard romance novel. I might look at it, pending on the blurbs.

Meh. Disney-ish happy-ending crap. I'd avoid.

(That title was one I was considering for your story, Inky-poo.)

*chuckles*
Gangsta Lord of the Rings is my first thought. My second thought is a giganto alarm-bell: WARNING: SPOOF!!! SPIN-OFF!!! STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

I would not pick it up.

I'm guessing a bittersweet romantic story about a girl dying of some weird heart disease and her lover and her trying to do all of these things before she dies. She ends up getting a transplant and living happily ever after. I may or may not read, depending on the cover art.

Kind of iffy... if the cover art was intriguing, I'd probably pick it up. The 'till gets in my way, because there are so many ways to spell/punctuate that word. Maybe "until" instead?

I've posted this before, but I'd love to hear another reaction...
