Erm i won't be here most of this week i've got a dress rehersal today and the other three days it performaces so could someone god-mode my character.
We get off to the rhythm of the trigger and destruction. Fallujah to New Orleans with impunity to kill. We are the hidden fist of the free market.
We are the ink, we are the quill.

Just a question here... but in all the RPGs I've participated in before (admittedly, not many), we could only write for our character. It makes things challenging in a group this big, I understand that; but doesn't writing for everyone else's character just complicate things? Having to worry about it being in character and all...
This is just a proposition, but how about we try to limit writing for others' characters to an absolute minimum? It pulls the emphasis off dialogue and onto the writing itself. Just a proposition, as I said, but one I think would help clean this RPG up. It's rather unorganized, isn't it?
Yup, pretty much. I think the reason Grif decided to do it the way at the moment is to prevent the story from slowing down.
In the method you mentioned, which of course makes for better writing and general RPing, if one person disappears for a while when they need to post, nobody else can post until they get back. In the end, sometimes this can kill storybooks.
Which is why, I think, Grif decided to do it this way, where we can quickly take control of somebody else's character for limited god-moding to keep the plot/story going forward without too many breaks. Sure, we all have to learn everybody's characters a bit more, but that can only be a good thing, right?

Yep, that is a good thing and it does no harm to our writing experience either. It's not like we're doing anything drastic here, just creating diolgue between characters which makes it more interesting I think then the musings of just one character as a group travels.
Ok...the wa I've presented this next part is odd--we have at least two decisions...
1. We can stay as a group and fight our way through the goblin blockade, which will draw out the rest of the little army the have form their cave...
or
2. We can split into a two groups and work on our RP skillz, as well as get to kill some stuff. Group one would draw away the majority of the goblin force and lead them on a goose case, while the second group would go through the goblin's cave, kill any guards, and move through to the other side of the mountain to met up with group one after they ditch the pursuers.
So...if you could cast your voe in character in the JIN thread...please do
Got YWS? I do.

I dont think we could take on an army. We'd die. So, in essence, Option 1 is impossible.
And how much of the original plot line is still ,,, functional? I mean is there an armed troop we can call upon at the little town of Alten, I think it was called.
As for the splitting up, G1 would have to agile people who could run and have great stamina. So, that excludes Ursa and Cyrus immediately. As for the rest, I dunno. Do we pick strategically or based on those characters that match/are friedns with our own?
Finn would be a good choice for the group going into the mountains, especially if those are the Blackwodes. She's earned her keep for nearly seven years guiding travelers through those mountains, so she'd know all sorts of back paths and that kind of thing.
I think we should go both strategically, and whose characters work well with/feed off of each others. So, for example, Valin would be a good candidate for the goose chase (Hes and Elf, therefore has lots of stamina and agility and hes no stranger to the forest) Then Seraph would be a good companion to that group as Seraph and Valin are freinds and work well with each other, And maybe add one more person based on ability or something.

You'll need Alden Sab, to keep an eye out on your pursuit. Is that everyone? Oh yeah, you need a good tracker/hunter so Sirloaz goes with you. That leaves Tan'quin ... he can decide, lol.
You're wrong about humanity. They are your greatest creation because they're better than you are. Sure, they're weak, and they cheat and steal and destroy and disappoint, but they also give and create, and they sing and dance and love. Above all, they never give up. — Metatron
