This Spooktober, Gen Lit is inviting you to come up with your very own spooky six-word story!What is a six-word story?
It's exactly what it's called: a story, but in only six words. The famous example is, "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." For some other examples, feel free to check out these YWS threads: Story in Six Words, Event 8: Six Word Stories
How do I participate in this contest?
Post your story as a reply in this thread! Please only submit one entry, but feel free to edit it as many times as you want before the contest deadline (October 15th).
Also, please keep the stories YWS-friendly (e.g., don't use curses, or replace swear words with vegetables). As this is a horror-themed contest, some implications of darker themes are okay, but please add trigger warnings (e.g., TW: blood) and put your entry in a spoiler if it does touch on a sensitive topic. The code for spoilers:

What are the judging criteria?
Gen Lit will be selecting three winners, one for each category: scariest, most creative, and best twist.
