The Luminscoir Pad https://i.imgur.com/uT1rwcY.png The Vibriant are an anthropomorphic species that live in Illum, a small region enclosed under the earth. The Vibriant are human-like with vine-like coils for hair, leaf-like eyebrows, and eyes that have an inward-curved diamond-shaped pupil. All Vibriants are born a certain color. This color affects physical attributes of Vibriants as well as abilities to manipulate the nature around them. All Vibriants are attuned to the nature around them to a certain extent, hence their plant-like attributes. In the Vibriant culture, it is believed that The Vibriant are all born out of some mixture of Light and Shadow. This combination then decides the Vibriant's color at birth. Birth for Vibriants are done in the middle of Iridescence City, underneath Pure Zenith. All Vibriants are molded out of pure light from Pure Zenith, where they drop as ink blots into a chamber below, in the middle of Iridescence City. It is then where their color is decided. All in Illum are touched by both Light and Shadow in varying degrees. Those with the most Light are the Lumens: leaders of Illum and the head of both governmental and religious aspects of Vibriant society. It is believed that the Lumen are the holiest of the Vibriant and not at all Shadowtouched. For, to be Shadowtouched is to be stained in the eyes of the Lumen and their leaders, the Council of Light and the High Luminary. This has been foretold since the earliest days of Vibriant civilization, and so it always has been, and so it always will be. All Vibriant have a tattoo somewhere on their body. This tattoo is their connection with the Elucin. The tattoo is dependent on the type of Vibriant they are. The tattoo also provides a more of a spiritual connection to the nature around them, giving them an ability to manipulate some part of nature. The Elucin is a mixture of a religion and a religious figure within the Illum. All Vibriant are connected with the Elucin but it is believed that the Lumen are more connected than other Vibriant. https://i.imgur.com/rVIpd6R.png Of all the Vibriants, the Prime Vibriants are deemed closest to the Light and the most pure, with the Lumen at the top. Because of this, Prime Vibriants hold elite positions in Iridescence City and have occupied most of the land surrounding Iridescence City. https://i.imgur.com/nD2nl1P.png The Lumen is an old Vibriant word that means "One with the Light." Lumen Vibriant are the top echelon of society and are marked with white-pale gray physical attributes with gold specks. The Lumen are ultra secretive about their ranks, and all Vibriant who are born Lumen are spirited away to Pure Zenith before their Elucin can emerge. https://i.imgur.com/hBgVQwt.png The Pyren are noted by their red attributes that can range from a deep maroon to a pale red, and cinder flakes that singe off their hair when passionate. Pyren have the Elucin ability to manipulate heat and generate small amounts of fire. The Pyren Elucin tattoo is a circular tattoo of leaves and energy drawing inwards towards a center point. https://i.imgur.com/LyeNuBC.png The Elecence are noted by their yellow attributes that can range from a pale yellow to an intense burn that almost reflects the neon lights of the City. The Elecence's hair seems alive with energy when passionate. Elecence have the Elucin ability to manipulate minimal amounts electrical currents and air waves. The Elecence Elucin tattoo is a flower that bursts open from a lower point with points of energy sprouting from the flower. https://i.imgur.com/YkO9tm4.png The Thaumamen are noted by their blue attributes that can range from deep navy to pale blue, and their hair often grows much longer than other Vibriants and far wavier than other Vibriant. Thaumamen have the Elucin ability to manipulate water and to lower temperature. The Thaumamen Elucin tattoo is a blooming flower that expresses the dispersement of energy outward from a central point. https://i.imgur.com/aGemCJ9.png The Periphy Vibriants are considered the lower echelon of Vibriants and make up a majority of the population, as many Vibriants are a mixture of Prime lineage. Periphy Vibriants are viewed as better than the Offcolors and Shadowborn. https://i.imgur.com/47I8G0s.png The Theurgens are noted by their green attributes that can vary by shade and tints of yellow or blue, although not much. Theurgens have the Elucin ability to communicate and subtly influence plant-life, encouraging growth. Theurgens often have large and bushy eyebrows, and their hair feels overgrown at all times. The Theurgen Elucin tattoo is a blossoming flower ready for seeding. https://i.imgur.com/ix3vGkk.png The Indigon are noted by their purple attributes that can vary by shade and tints of red or blue, although not much. Indigon have the Elucin ability to manipulate the gravity of objects. Indigon's eyebrows tend to defy gravity and stuck straight up, much to their annoyance. The Indigon Elucin tattoo are multiple flowers being dragged into a single point, coalescing in energy. https://i.imgur.com/ZSFi4ry.png The Ochren are noted by their orange attributes that can vary by shade and tints of red and yellow, although not much. Ochren have the Elucin ability to manipulate earth, heating it up and destroying it. The Ochren's skin near their temples and around their hair look cracked and revealing magma underneath. The Ochren Elucin tattoo is a flower that has opened and wilted apart. https://i.imgur.com/YW8gYcs.png Not all Vibriant are born Prime or Periphy. Many Vibriant are born a mixture of colors and far more Shadowtouched than the Lumen deem acceptable. These Vibriant are stripped of status and sent as far away as possible from Iridescence City. These are called the Offcolors. They have little status in the government and their abilities are often a poor reflection of Prime or Periphy abilities, faulty or non-functional. It is officially reported that Offcolors either have no abilities or no new abilities from the established ones of Prime and Periphy Vibriants. https://i.imgur.com/Hr2EFI6.png Below all Vibriant are those born complete out of shadow. They are exiled immediately to the Shadowlands once born and found out to be born without Light. They have no abilities, they have no function or use in society, and so Pure Zenith and the Council of Light banishes them to the furthest reaches of Illum. https://i.imgur.com/TjkfCwi.png Welcome to the world of Illum. In Iridescence City, all the Prime and Periphy Vibriant are welcome. Iridescence City lives in the middle of Illum, directly below the floating city of Pure Zenith. In Iridescence City, no light from Pure Zenith directly shines down on the city. Iridescence City is a cyberpunk noir city where it always rains. This city is a mixture of retro-futurism and roaring twenties noir style. The middle of the city is filled with Prime Vibriant cities and neighborhoods, with Periphy neighborhoods built outwards and downwards. Underneath Iridescence City is a sprawling black market, which connects to a tram system that goes underneath Prime countries to Periphy countries and forbidden territory beyond that. Iridescence City lives underneath Pure Zenith, the residence of all Lumen and the source of all Light within Illum. Pure Zenith is also the residence of the Prime Luminary and the Council of Light. It is said that all Lumen are closest with Elucin, the Being of Light, and that Pure Zenith is the point in all of Illum that is closest to Elucin. No Vibriant outside of Lumen are allowed to enter Pure Zenith. The city of Pure Zenith is small and floats in the sky or is perhaps attached to the great stone far above Illum, it is unknown which may be true. The city itself is hard to see because all around the city are giant glass panes that direct and amplify the Light of Pure Zenith across all of Illum. Together, all of the mirrors rotate and spread light across the various districts twice every day cycle. Because Iridescence City is located right below Pure Zenith, it does not get any direct light from the city. The High Luminary is the religious and spiritual leader of Illum, voted in by all Prime and Periphy Vibriant. Only Lumen can be High Luminary, and High Luminary rule for one hundred years before they step down and pass their essence back to Elucin. It is not known how the High Luminary lives so long, as the average lifespan of the regular Vibriant is around seventy years, but it is suspected that those closer to Elucin are afforded longer lives. While the High Luminary is the head of the spiritual side of Illum, a council runs the government side of Illum called The Council of Light. This Council of Light are seven members to represent each Prime Vibriant, Periphy Vibriant, and Offcolor, although all Councillites are Lumen. Councillites are voted in every ten years, but the amount of members voted in rotate. Three at a time in one year, three at a time in three years, and one final one in three years. Outside of Iridescence City lies the major countries of Illum. Looking like a spiral, the Prime Vibriants have three countries that surround Iridescence City equally and spread out. Beyond the Prime Countries are three Periphy countries. On the edges of Illum lies the Shadowlands, where all Shadowborn are forced to not long after birth. The Morgue Attendant A Thaumamen morgue attendant who processes decaying bodies. The Lo-Botanist A Theurgist pleasure specialist who temporarily lobotomizes Vibriant in the underground. The Bartender An Indigon bartender who works the front of a speak-easy. The Tattoo Artist An Ochren tattoo artist who covers up Vibriant Elucin tattoos. The Undercover Waiter An Off-Color who works as and undercover Indigon water. So, some questions were asked and answered in the pad that are pretty important to the lore and might be asked again so gonna also answer them here

Q: Do Vibriant have parents?

A: They can! But it's not needed.

Q: So how does that work then?

A: As explained in the lore post, all Vibriant are born out of Pure Zenith, where they fall as tear droplets into Iridescence City below. Now, those who are influential and have connections with the Lumen can provide a part of their essence, their Elucin, to provide a direct descendent.

All Vibriant, regardless of whether they have parents or not, are raised underneath the dispensary and Pure Zenith by Budtenders, Off-Colors who are kept around for the sole reason of raising Budding Vibriant until around age eight. This is the age Vibriant get their Elucin, although signs start to appear earlier than that.

After their Elucin appears, most Vibriant are shipped off to their respective countries. Some are given to their parents if they are Implanted, some are given to programs of volunteer parents (because the religion of Elucin gives the importance of the life cycle, life, death, and rebirth, so raising the next generation is an important affair), but many Periphy and Offcolors end up homeless in Iridescence City's depths.

All Lumen and Shadowborn Vibriant are immediately dealt with in their respective fashions the moment they show signs of their Elucin appearing in that direction.
