(No really. I just bought a bunch of snacks today for no reason and grandma baked an apple pie by her secret recipe)

Honestly, I am game for whatever you want to bring in! I love trying out new food.

One question, since you're here and it's my cake day... is the Slovak cake more like Western European cake or Eastern European cake? When I tried some Russian cake (which my Ukrainian friend ASSURED me tasted like the cake she grew up with) it tasted almost... crunchy? Whereas the Western European cake tends to taste moister... and American cake is so moist that it's sometimes made with pudding, LOL.

How would you describe your cake's texture???

Okay, let's go. Generally, I feel like we are somehow in the middle? We have both those crunchy ones, but also moist, so it's really about which one do you eat - for example Moravský cake (my favourite) is crunchy but cakes we have on birthday parties tend to be more Western-European-like.
My grandma's famous apple cake is a bit crunchy, but, there's a thing! If you want to imagine it, it's actually...a sandwich? Two thin layers of slightly crispy but not dry dough with lots of grated apples between them. So it's not really crunchy, just really soft and full of apples with a bit of caramely-honey-something and cinnamon and grandma magic.

...also, I just realised that there's maybe a difference between what I call crunchy and what you do! o.o Interesting
