Map of Rudeigin

Salachar
Spoiler
Salachar is probably the least desirable location to live in all of Rudeigin. This portion of the land is dusty and desertified both from the natural lack of water due to the mountains and the industry that goes on here, including the refuge of rubble from the still active mines. Being one of the southern-most areas of the land it can get excruciatingly hot here and therefor most homes are underground, including the city of Uamhan which is tucked a little way in the mountains and is entirely underground, residing in a huge cave. Unfortunately, due to the unforgiving nature of the land and low population besides in Uamhan, crime is not uncommon and Salachar is often used as a hideout and refuge for criminals who more often then not, make their homes in abandoned mines that litter the area like molehills.

Fiodha Forest
Spoiler
A much more pleasant location then Salachar, Fiodha Forest is full of rich plant and wildlife, made possible by the moist wind that comes down from the North. Both evergreen and deciduous trees make up the forest with trees like birch, oak, chestnut, and occasionally fruit trees in the South being replaced with pines and firs the more North you go. Among the trees are plenty of small ponds and lakes, many of which often have a settlement of homestead somewhere nearby. The most notable of these is the humble city of Sprùilleach beside lake Uisge.

Trannsa Valley
Spoiler
The area of Trannsa originally was once part of the highland area much alike Geata-Tuath until the river carved it out and covered the rocky land with soft soil from many years of flooding before it came to be what it is today. Mountains loom around most parts of the valley and can be seen from anywhere in it so it's almost impossible to get lost in the wildflower covered meadows. Not wanting to go back however is another problem. Despite the closeness to Salachar, the mountains keep the land cool and the winds calm in this part of Rudeigin. At the north end of the valley, besides lake Deigh, is the city of Gleann, although it's more of a traveler's hub then anything and a main resting point for those travelling from Geata-Tuath to Meadhan and vise versa. Oddly enough, not much exists farther south in the gorgeous valley except maybe the occasional homestead and the cliffs near the sea, however most who venture to make home south in the valley seek solitude. Maybe it's the closeness of Salachar that people fear, or the fact that it is home to such people who feel the need for solitude. Either way though, most of the valley remains gorgeous wilderness to this day.

Geata-Tuath
Spoiler
By far the most populated of the areas of Rudeigin, Geata-Tuath is also known as the Northern gateway to the land since it has the only port, Bàta-Siorc which is also the largest city, in the land that reaches the rest of the world. Many people come to Rudeigin through here, however not many leave unless they are merchants or traders. Most here beside merchants or traders are wealthy nobles interested in investing in trade routes leading to large, well kept cities to suit their fancy and attract more trade. This part of the land itself is typically on the cooler side but very temperate without huge change in temperatures or weather. As for the landscape, it is considered mainly highland moors and is slightly higher in elevation then most of the rest of Rudeigin

Aiteach
Spoiler
Aiteach is one of the most rich and plentiful parts of the land. The moist wind that comes down from the north is warmed by the rest of the land it goes over, leading to a warm and hospitable climate. This part of the land is primarily farms with fertile soil leading to bountiful crops and lush fields perfect for livestock to graze leading to Aiteach being the main location for agriculture, providing food for majority of the kingdom. Due to many profitable harvests, there are many reasons to celebrate here which is why the city of Buntàta is well known for its many parties and festivals.

Meadhan
Spoiler
The heart of Rudeigin is Meadhan, home to the largest city and capital of the land, Cagailt. Here is where the castle of kings resides, having been turned into different things over the centuries; at the moment it functions as a home for King Nathair and a meeting place for his court. All important decisions happen in Cagailt and is the city with the highest population in all of Rudeigin. The rest of Meadhan is mainly wide open prairie, allowing those in Cagailt to see for miles and miles around. They are not often seen but a herd of wild horses is said to roam around the wide open spaces of Meadhan. No one is really sure where they came from but it's said they appeared shortly after passing of the Twelve.

Mount Anam
Spoiler
Just to the northwest of Cagailt is Mount Aman, the tallest mountain in Rudeigin. The mountain is so tall that at the top, some often find it a little difficult to breathe. An ancient path winds up the steep and sheer sides of the mountain, crumbling from erosion and abandonment; they are too dangerous now for anyone to safely make their way to the top. At the peak however, amidst the cold and snow, is the ancient tomb of the twelve now forgotten warriors.
A Note on Magic
Spoiler
The land of Rudeigin is not know for its magic but it does exist however little known. It primarily is used in the forms of rituals and runes although it takes quite a bit of either skill or natural talent to use them successfully. Any books or scrolls on runes and rituals are either incredibly ancient or imported but with those you run the risk off fraudulent runes and rituals that don't actually work. Every now and then you find a true gem though. The only way for those with natural talent to wield it without assistance is to mark runes upon their skin which isn't a common practice and could have its consequences. Otherwise, the best way to wield it tends to be with the help of rituals or runed objects.
A Note on Spirits
Spoiler
Even though the spirits cannot physically manifest, they are capable of doing a variety of other things that more often then not affect their hosts. For example, a spirit's personality can affect how one acts and speaks, leading to urges very uncharacteristic of the person. They are also capable of speaking to their hosts and other spirits in about a 6ft radius although no one else can hear them. If a spirit is talking to another within range then both hosts can hear both spirits but no one else can unless they are in range as well. A benefit to spirits is they assist in a sort of physical form as well. Skills a spirit was strong in when they lived are often rather easy for the host to excel in.
