Ooo, sooner or later, I would love to visit the Cave of Hypnos! I have an idea I wanted to experiment with, involving Vivian finding a note from his dad explaining some things about his backstory (as long as nothing clashes with what you have planned for the story of course, Ley and Wist ^^)
(Formerly RavenAkuma)
~ "Believe only half of what you see, and nothing that you hear." ~
Hey! Ley and I wanted to stick with the top three. However, I’m sure we can make the letter from Vivian’s dad work! Maybe in the Pool of Memory? He could fish it from the river?
They/he
“the wist i knew would never allow a straight boy in their stories” ~Omni “Hi Omni can I request wist get the role mom friend :]" ~winter “ah yes, fear Wist's smile :) <- speaks of layers and layers of secrets” ~mint
I redid the poll. You each have 3 options. Whichever option has the least amounts of votes, we will not visit at all. The option that has the most votes will be the first location, and the second-to-most votes will be the 2nd location, and so on.
Spoiler
I'm highly encouraging Pool of Memory for plot purposes, though. But it's okay if that's not picked :D Just throwing that out there

Ahhh I love it! :D Let me know if you want me to lurk while you make it/help! (I also love it bc we don't have a child of Ares yet :D)

Here are some descriptions/lore/locations within each setting, please utilize these while writing! (I will add these into the first post of the OOC in their respective places ^^ as well, for easy access).

Creation
The Halls of Night were created at the dawn of time, emerging from the chaos that preceded the cosmos. Nyx, one of the first beings to arise from this chaos, established her domain in these halls. They serve as a sanctuary for all nocturnal and dark entities, a place where the shadows reign supreme and the light of day never shows.
Nyx Herself
Nyx presence is felt throughout every corner of the Halls of Night. She is often depicted as a towering figure with a cloak made of stars and shadows, her eyes glowing like twin moons. Nyx is not only the ruler, but also the mother of many powerful and fearsome deities, including Erebus, Hypnos, Thanatos, Nemesis, and The Fates.
Atmosphere
The Halls of Night are a vast, cavernous expanse where the absence of light is almost tangible. The air is cool and still, filled with soft whispers of nocturnal spirits. The ground is covered in a soft, velvety darkness that absorbs sound, creating an eerie silence. Faint, distant starlight occasionally pierces the gloom, creating moments of dim illumination that reveal ghostly images on the walls, shifting and changing to depict scenes of the night.
Ancient, twisted trees and plants that glow faintly in the dark line the paths through the halls, their luminescence providing just enough light to navigate the pitch-black environment. The halls are a place where time stands still.
The Halls Role in the Underworld
The Halls of Night play a significant role. They are a place of refuge and power for those who are aligned with the night and its mysteries. Heroes seeking wisdom or guidance might venture into these halls, hoping to gain favor from Nyx or her offspring. The Halls of Night also serve as a backdrop for tales of retribution and justice, where Nemesis and The Fates dispense their decrees away from the eyes of mortals.
Nyx's influence extends beyond the Halls of Night, affecting the world above. Her power over Night impacts the cycles of day and night, dreams and sleep, and the very fabric of the cosmos.
Locations
Chamber of Stars
A vast, open hall where the ceiling is encrusted with countless stars. This chamber is where Nyx often resides. The stars represent souls of the night, and the chamber serves as a place of meditation and reflection
The Veil of Shadows
A network of corridors and rooms filled with shifting shadows and illusions. This area is guarded by Nyx's children, Hypnos and Thanatos, and is used to test the bravery of those who enter. Only those who can navigate the shadows can reach the deeper, more secretive parts of the Halls of Night.
The Echoing Caves
A series of deep caves where the whispers of the night are amplified. These caves hold the secrets of the cosmos, and those who listen carefully can hear the voices of ancient beings and the prophecies of the future. The Echoing caves are often visited by prophets and seers seeking guidance.
The Grotto of Dreams
A serene, secluded area where Morpheus, the god of dreams, weaves his nightly visions. The grotto is filled with dream inducing flora and has a calming atmosphere. Here, visitors can experience vivid dreams, gaining insights into their subconscious and future.
The River of Silence
A slow moving, black river that winds through the halls of night. The waters of this river absorb all sound, creating silence. It is said that the River of Silence has the power to calm the mind and soul, providing a place for deep reflection and inner peace.
The Hall of Fates
A grand hall where the Moirai (The Fates) reside. Here, Clotho spins the thread of life, Lachesis measures it, and Atropos cuts it. The Hall of Fates is a place of destiny and decision, where the lives of mortals and gods are determined. The air in this hall is thick with the weight of fate and the echoes of countless lives.
The Tower of Midnight
A tall, ominous tower that rises from the depths of the Halls of Night. The Tower is a place of observation, offering a panoramic view of the entire realm (Underworld). From here, Nyx can watch over her domain and the night sky above.
The Chamber of Shadows
A hidden, secret chamber where Nyx communes with the primordial forces of the cosmos. This chamber is said to be the heart of the Halls of Night, where the very essence of darkness and night is concentrated. It is a place of great power and mystery, accessible only to Nyx and those she deems worthy.

Creation
The Pool of Memory was created in the primordial era, when the Titans rules the cosmos. Mnemosyne, a daughter of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), was gifted this pool by her parents as a symbol of her dominion over memory and recollection. The Pool's waters are infused with the essence of Mnemosyne, granting those who enter the ability to unveil forgotten knowledge and retain the wisdom of past lives.
Mnemosyne Herself
Mnemosyne, the personification of Memory, is intimately connected to the Pool of Memory. She is often depicted as a serene and majestical figure, with a calm demeanor and a gaze that seems to pierce through time itself. Her presence at the pool is a constant, and she guards its waters with great care, ensuring that only those who are worthy and prepared can access its powers.
Atmosphere
The Pool of Memory is better described as a group of tidepools spread across an expanse of sand. It's adorned with ancient, bioluminescent plants and vines that emit a soft, silvery glow. The air is filled with a sense of calm and chaos, as time itself slows down when one enters the pool. It smells slightly of salt and something distinctly alive but distant. The waters are crystal clear. Beneath the surface, one could possibly see ghostly images of memories from countless souls, swirling and merging together. The water feels cold enough to be invigorating but not uncomfortable and it's clear the bottom is deep, deep down.
The Pool's Role in the Underworld
It is often contrasted with the River Lethe, whose waters cause forgetfulness. While Lethe's waters are used by souls who wish to forget their past, the Pool of Memory serves the opposite purpose. Those who drink or swim in the waters are granted a complete recollection of their current and past lives. The Pool is often sought by souls who seek enlighten or wish to retain their identities and knowledge. Heroes, scholars, and seers would be drawn to the pool, to gain insights and wisdom.
To drink or enter the Pool of Memory, one must perform a ritual of purification. This involves meditating, reflecting on one's past actions, and seeking Mnemosyne's Blessing. Only after proving their sincerity and worthiness can an individual drink or swim in the Pool of Memory and access it's powers.
Locations
The Caves of Remembrance
Caverns located beneath the surface of the pool, accessible through a hidden underwater passage. The cave walls are covered in ancient carvings and symbols that incrypt significant events and memories in detail. The air inside the caves is thick, and visitors often face a profound feeling of nostalgia. This is the only location where travelers can access ancestral memories of things that happened to their family members before birth.
The Mirror Falls
A cascading waterfall that flows into the pool. The falls create a mirror-like surface that reflects the true nature of those who gaze into it, revealing their true emotional nature, often in a pointed way. It is believed that the Falls can reveal forgotten memories as well.
The Hall of Visions
A grand hall built on the eastern shore of the pool, where Mnemosyne herself resides. The hall is adorned with murals and tapestries depicting the story of gods. Inside, a large celestial crystal ball rests on a golden pedestal, allowing those who look into it to view visions of their past, present, and future. In order to do this, you must gain approval from Mnemosyne, and only few in history have. If she denies you, she will trap you for eternity inside the crystal ball-- so only ask if you're confident.
The Gardens of Mnemosyne
Lush gardens surrounding the pool, filled with vibrant flowers and plants that bloom in response to the emotion of those nearby. The gardens are tended to by the spirits of memory, who ensure that the beauty and tranquility of this area is preserved. If you anger them, they will summon Mnemosyne and she will trap you in the Caves of Remembrance.-- with no way to escape.

Creation
Legends say that the Cave of Hypnos was carved out of the rock from the gentle breath of Hades, and its walls are imbued with it's powers. The river Lethe, the river of forgetfulness, flows near the entrance its waters adding to the caves atmosphere.
The Cave's Role in the Underworld
The Cave of Hypnos is the abode of Hypnos, the God of Sleep. Here, he weaves the dreams and slumbers of both mortals and gods. It is said that those who enter the Cave are engulfed in an unearthly calm, where time seems to stand still, and the worries of the world fade away.
The Oneiroi, spirits of dreams, act as guides and protectors within the cave. They monitor visitors and while, yes they can avoid you from getting lost in the mirrors within the Gallery of Nightmares, and keep you from falling asleep in The Grande Hall, they can only do so much. The atmosphere in The Cave of Hypnos is said to be somewhat mesmerizing and hypnotizing, which can still cause entrapment.
Locations:
The Grand Hall
This location was named for its large size and for the fact that it's the only location that looks like a room. On both sides of the room are a seemingly endless line of luxury beds that all face the one opposite it. It smells like lavender and induces a need for sleep. However, sleeping in any of the beds without Hypnos' blessing will cast a curse upon you never allowing you to wake.
The Gallery of Nightmares
A shadowy corridor lined with mirrors that reflect one's deepest fears. The gallery has a dark, foreboding atmosphere. If you get too lost in the mirrors, you can eventually become trapped in them.
The Chamber of Lullabies
An intimate, smaller chamber where the walls hum with soft lullabies. The walls are made of material that absorbs and emits sound. The air is filled with gentle voices of loved one, singing lullabies and whispering comforting words. The floor is carpeted with soft moss that feels like walking on a cloud.
The Chamber of Rest
The central and most sacred chamber of the cave, where Hypnos himself resides. The chamber is vast and circular, with a bed made of clouds at its center. The ceiling is enchanted to mimic the night sky, with stars and constellations that slowly shift and change. Soft, warm light comes from floating orbs that drift lazily around the room.
