1.

Zeus

What is a king, without his throne?
He is merely a whisper,
a thought,
a bolt of lightning,
in the ever misty skies.

How could he feel alone,
when everyone bows to him?
All he sees are ghosts of
what he could be,
not what he is.

And now he sits here, lost
and afraid.
The king of all Gods,
yet what does he conquer?

Is it the land beneath Hades' boots,
or the skies that belong to his son?
No,
it can't be.

So what does he conquer?
Instead he rules over their minds,
yet to be discovered,
and they all,
obey.

"Obey," he says,
and they follow
because he (sounds) strong,
not because he (is).
