Critique Circle

I went to the critique circle the other day and checked it out. It's a site all about critiquing. So I decided to submit chapters one through three of "Why" and see what kind of critiques I would get. I got one that wasn't really helpful at all. Then I got one that looked pretty good, but half way through it the guy referred to me as a "damn kid" because I had repeated that a character was unconscious three times.

AAH!

I threw some obscene language at him and that was that.

So anyway, I'm glad I have YWS.

And I'm sorry I ever tried to find another writing site. *badness*

Look to the root, why did he call you a "damn kid"? Thats all you need to know.

Well, I don't know about that place, but I tried out Urbis.com and had pretty much the same results (minus being called a damn kid).

Okay, the guy emailed me back and apologized for it.

He actually meant to say "damn, kid." like "wow, I can't believe you did that." But he still apologized because even the second version is still rude.

So anyway, he apologized, so everything's good.

I decided to check this place out. If I get any irrational comments, I'll let you know. My story is now in their queue. It looks like you have another one in there too, magicaman.

Yeah, because all other reviews after that were incredibly helpful.

Mmmmm... looks like a fun place!

And you'll get harsh critiques anywhere you go. You just can't let that get you down.

Well I know about that site Critique Circle, it was the next best thing I could find after YWS had its breakdown, but then I quit since TSR started and that kept me hooked with the same YWS members
