Spoiler
@momonster uhh didn't you make this thread? How are you not receiving a million notifications for this, and therefore make you forget?

Think of it this way: Can you imagine there being a superhero called Dr. Weird?

if there was one, I think he'd have a pretty cool story.

Okay here is an actual answer:

Spoiler
According to Oxford Languages, the definition of "strange" is "unusual or surprising in a way that is unsettling or hard to understand." or "not previously visited, seen, or encountered; unfamiliar or alien." The definition of "weird" is "suggesting something supernatural; uncanny." But however, this is the defition for the adjective. The word "strange" can only be used as an adjective, wheras the word "weird" can be an adjective, noun, or verb. The definitions of the two words also show that the word "weird" is supposed to describe something that is supernatural, while "strange" is meant to decribe something unusual or unfarmiliar. Another difference is that the word "weird" is slightly more informal than "strange." Can you imagine someone from medival times saying, "That is so weird," ?

Would you rather use the word "strange" or "weird"?
