this wall i've put up around myself is slowly crumbling down,
and i'm desperately trying to hold it together with duct tape.
is anyone really there for me like they say?
my troubled thoughts keep me up all night,
the monsters under my bed drinking my tears.
no one really cares, they whisper.
no one really likes you. they're just pretending.
and i listen and believe them,
their black words spreading like poison through my veins;
because then i can feel something.

Ah great first poem, momo! I absolutely LOVED the line “the monsters under my bed drinking my tears.” It’s such a beautiful poem! <3

#2 - enamor

how can my heart hold so much love for you?
how can i love you so much my heart feels it's breaking?
my soul swelling to burst;
my love for you exploding into the universe.
rainbows and cotton candy and sunny days with you
filling the world.
your warm kisses melting on my lips
i want to spend every day with you,
my days filled with your laugh.
i won't stop loving you,
you beautiful human.

AHHHH! <333 "enamor" seems so FLUFFY and wondrous on first glance with the most subtle undercurrent of hurt - I can just feel the emotions you're evoking! You're doing fantastic, and I really can't wait to see more! <3

i create a person in my head, the way i make characters.
i formulate traits like a chemist, seeing what works and what doesn't.
trial and error like an experiment, results fluctuating until
i get what i want.
brown hair, denim jeans, tote bag, roller skates,
green eyes, glass skin, perfect smile, white teeth,
black pen, pink notebook, freckled face, brown bible,
welcoming peronality, easy to talk to, comforting words,
warm hugs, mint gum, and always knows what to say.
i can be this person, but is this who i really am?

when i was a child, i dreamed of catching a cloud in a jar.
i wanted to jump out a plane into the cumulus,
and scoop off a piece for myself.
i wanted to keep it on my shelf, and look at it swirl.
but now i know that it's just mist,
tiny crystals of ice floating in the sky.
i could never keep it in a jar,
and my dreams are unreachable.

aaahhh momo!!! poems #3 and #4 are just AAH I lOVE THEM
in poem three, the order that you put the character traits in seems perfect and the first line of poem four is just *chefs kiss* Aah quality over quantity! Keep up the great work! And your second poem has such amazing imagery and just that small undertone of hurt I love love love all of your poems here! <3

POETRY!! NEW POEMS!!! YAYY!!
Number 3 is absolute genius - the way you play around with this metaphor of being a chemist! Loved that so much! And god, I reeally relate to the feeling of having all these things you could be ideally, and not knowing if that's what you really are - you captured that feeling so welll ah! <3
Number 4...pure heartbreak </3 the wording is beautiful (tiny crystals of ice, catching a cloud in a jar, jump out a plane into the cumulus) (and as someone obsessed with watching clouds this poem just hits the spot so well!) And that sinking feeling in the conclusion, of growing up and realising all those childhood dreams could never come true...ouch :/ that hurts !! so good!!! AHHH KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, MOMO, you're doing fantastic <3

i feel like an imposter;
i feel like a faker.
i have friends but i want more;
i have connections but
i want them to be deeper.
does anyone actually care about me?
are they just pretending to care?
do they think of me as a child
that they must be kind to
otherwise they’ll get in trouble?
do they smile out of genuineness,
or do they smile condescendingly?
a tiny voice whispers to me,
and i listen.
i push down these fears, hoping they’ll go away,
but i’m realizing they’re consuming me.
