Malvis sighed. “I can get you on a ship back to the states. It’ll take a couple of days though, alright?”

Matthew turned back to look at Bryde. The expression on his face very much said can I tell her, while the expression on Bryde's face in return was one of reluctant defeat. Bryde finally was caving to Matthew's whole argument from earlier.
Even if he wouldn't outright say he was. Matthew knew. That was what was important.
Matthew spun back around to face Malvis.
"Actually," Matthew said, "that would just get us to the right place and not the right time. We're actually from the future."
Malvis blinked, her hair turning platinum again. She didn’t bother to hide it or move it. “Pardon?”

"Whoa," Matthew said, marveling at Malvis's hair. He glanced back at Bryde, briefly, to see his reaction. He looked genuinely shocked, which meant he didn't look all that much shocked at all, but it was still more than his usual apathetic expressions. "Your hair just changed colors. Are you a dream, too?"
“A dream?” Malvis frowned slightly. “I’m not sure what you’re getting at.”
