He glanced over at her with one thick eyebrow raised. Then he rested a fist over his chest and bowed again, a bit awkwardly in his crouched position. "I have many names," he said. "But the one I hear above all others is the name Haelar."

She stared at him with wide eyes and a gaping mouth for a long moment, stuck. Then she recovered enough of her wits to squeak in fear and gracelessly drop off the swing onto her knees. “I-I didn’t… know. A-apologies.”
