Two Crows Watch from the Gallows Tree (part 17)

(ooh I dig all of those fish ^^ good choices lol I am really tired so he's just gonna have to deal with his nightmarish fish xD but I appreciate the suggestions! I did a sturgeon for moonglade way back in March it was my third ever FishSketch. V short and stubby lol but cute. The thing is that part of what makes fish look so cool is their coloration and I absolutely don't have the skillz for that)

"Hopefully." She nodded, wiping at her face. "I..." She sighed, shoulders rounding even more, defeated. "I'll apologize."

(Oo nice though! Fish are fun and I'm sure you've got the skills.)

"In your own time," he said. "And make sure you apologize for the right things."

She sniffled. “What’s that mean?”

"Don't apologize for being a bad daughter, for example." He thought for a moment. "I don't believe you have anything to apologize for at all, come to think of it."

She sniffled again, wiping her face. “I shouldn’t have yelled at him. That was mean… and ungrateful.”

"He told you some shocking information that he probably should have waited to reveal until after you'd gotten over the shock you received earlier. He was inconsiderate of you. You reacted appropriately and as one would expect."

She still felt guilty. But that helped ever so slightly. “… are you sure?”

He nodded. "I'm positive."

She nodded slowly, wiping her face again. She was still going to apologize. But it helped to hear him say that. “…gods I’ve probably cried out all the water I’ve drank all month at this point.”

"You should probably drink some more, then," he suggested.

“I’d rather drink some mead,” she grumbled.

"Certainly not," he said with a stern look. "Not in your mindset. If anything you should avoid it like the plague."

She wiped at her nose roughly, looking away and blushing as she shrank. “I didn’t say I was gonna.”

"Well, don't."

“I won’t,” she said sullenly, embarrassed and still not looking at him.
