She teared up despite herself and looked away, blushing profusely. Everything within her wanted to sprint. And yet she was frozen in place. If he didn’t love her, he should just say so. She couldn’t handle this anymore. She stepped into the hall and closed the door behind her, then went in search of Gaius. She decided to try his office first and went and knocked.

(You know what? I accept lol This lady is irritating as fuck and usually she comes over and lingers by my cubicle and starts rambling but the lady who sits one cubicle over from me humors her and chats so I can ignore them both. That lady is off today. So this coworker is just making this irritating as fuck and I don’t know how to get rid of her)
Ky sighed and tried the library next, reluctantly. She looked like absolute hell. She wasn’t crying anymore but her eyes were blood shot and her face was all splotchy and she shuffled along like she was on the brink of collapsing from exhaustion.

(Yeah I was giving a lot of the latter haha or ‘ah yeah that sucks’ or ‘that’s no fun’ etc. The problem is that she is an underachiever by a lot. My supervisor is not supervisor but he hates her and everyone else in my office at some point or another has bitched to me about how this girl doesn’t do anything, doesn’t pull her weight, etc etc She has her performance review today and is anxious about it and was venting to me and was like “I know I do a good job but—“ and like ???? There is no socially acceptable way to handle that lol like social norms say I should agree with her that she’s doing well but she’s objectively not. So she got a lot of “oh man I hope it goes better than you think” and “yeah that sounds stressful I’m sorry” etc instead)
