Narfi had warned her her room wasn’t safe and she didn’t listen to him. Had the two of them already poked around there? Had they watched her when she slept before she could see them?

Ky obeyed, a shudder running through her. She closed her eyes and took several shaky breaths. Gods she was weak. “I can clean it up.” She opened her eyes and went to grab the bucket. How disgusting.

Ky nodded weakly and sank down onto the edge of a nearby cot, burying her head in her hands and rubbing her face. Her entire body was trembling.

Sera set about cleaning everything up and did so swiftly. Then she returned to Ky. "Is there anywhere they can't go?" she asked again, softly.

Ky shook her head numbly, stomach tossing again but she controlled it this time.
