Ky smiled at that, genuinely pleased. “I’m so glad you like it.” Maybe she just needed more hugs. She felt more secure now than she had in a while.

“You too… bye!” She walked to the door but dawdled for a moment, glancing back. She liked talking to Rönn; she could actually be authentic with him. Open. Not have to worry about getting disowned.

He had paused at the forest's edge, glancing back at her as well. He gave a little wave, then disappeared into the woods.

Ky returned the wave then stepped through the door and secured it behind her and headed for the Keep.
