(Good luck to you then! I woke up exhausted as well and have only just now decided to drink some coffee because my stomach is cramping. I'm okay now but I have so many essays due this week)

(Also I edited the post! I'm gonna have to fight myself not to go on rants about alcohol and tavern culture so long as we're in a tavern though; I'm taking a class that's all about that culture in the Americas and it is fascinating.)

"That fair." He dipped his head. "You talk to your father about this?"

She sighed, deflating. “I’m trying.”

(Thanks Coffee and Ibuprofen are my bffs.)

(Turns out alcohol is super cool to learn about and I want to take a class on all the rest of the continents now)

"Why not doing?"

She sighed. “Because he doesn’t want me to come home.”

(They're both supposed to help with headaches and cramps is what my mom says, and Ibuprofen is my go-to for PMS so that's my formula)

"Why you say that?" His brow furrowed. "He should want that."

(Fair enough ^^ coffee and I just don't get along at baseline even though it's delicious)

"He doesn't." She shook her head. "He just wants me to stay up here... or maybe go back to the South... I'm not sure. I think Makata is trying to get me back but Gaius and Tomhas keep lying to me about things so I don't know."

(Ughhh poor Ronn getting his info from the world's most unreliable narrator lol)

"Who Makata?"

"The guy who stole me," she said. "He's a Governor down south. And now Southerners are coming up here. And... it feels bad. I don't know."

"All this South!" he scoffed. "Girl who stab me from South, man who steal you from South, Zander go South. Why?"

"Wait, a Southerner stabbed you?" she furrowed her brow at him, pieces falling into place. She'd worn a Southern assassin's sword on her own hip. "Was it Jerica?"

(oop so much for them accidentally stumbling across each other later on lol oh well they probably wouldn't be allowed to be out wandering around after dark by themselves anyhow)

(Yeah Rönn was frustrated and made connections)

"Yes." He blinked at her. "You know her?"

"She was here." Ky nodded, then frowned. "I didn't know she was evil, though. What an... awful human."

"I scare her, she scare me," he scoffed. "She try protect herself, that all."

"But you said you didn't hurt her," Ky argued. "... you didn't hurt her, right?"

"I grab her neck when she stab me, it bruise probably but no more than that."
