(TFW the cops have the street blocked off and you have no idea why but there are people up and down the main way so you assume there’s gonna be a parade or something but you can’t figure out how to get home and then start crying lol rip me. I figured it out but it was proof of how very long my week has been lmao)

(On the plus side I am now home and have not found a single live cockroach that isn’t in a trap and I am really really really hoping that is a good sign)

Jerica felt unsettled. She didn’t like people talking about her parents. Thinking about her parents, really. It felt invasive. She was strangely possessive of dead nobles she’d never even met.

(And sure works for me ^^ I’ve got no scene ideas in mind though. I’m down for anything but the next things I can think of that need to happen are the heart box run and Them coming back for Jerica… unless you’ve got other ideas? I’d be down to have some of my guys interact with your guys somehow maybe? I feel like Rek and Kieran and especially Akeno haven’t had much air time which is fine but is also potentially an option ^^ )

(Could be fun with Tomhas or Emery but all three of them are well behaved and aren’t going to be out wandering without permission for them to run into anyone so idk how feasible that would be. Do you think they’d be curious and come by? Or maybe one of your military peeps? Not sure. They’re all a lottttt more mellow than either of the girls lol so dunno how exciting they’d be with someone like Bay, for example. It might be helpful for you to bring in a lively character to spice things up. But also that could be cute to have one of your serious characters interact with my tiny child idk who are you feeling?)

That evening, Captain Bay headed to the men's dormitory to check that D'Ara's military and the Ainsleys were settling in. He wasn't wearing armor, for once, dressed in a simple tunic and long-sleeved shirt with trousers and boots. His back remained rod-straight, though.

Derik never slept well when there were others around, but had had an extraordinarily long day and now was dozing on his bunk in the corner. The three boys had shifted to the opposite corner to continue chatting and playing cards so they wouldn’t disturb him.
