Ky smiled more at the compliment, however guarded. She felt like she should return it, but the only things that came to mind felt like they would sound like she was kissing ass even if she didn't mean to be, and she figured that wouldn't go over any better with Bay than it would Gaius. So she kept that to herself and instead glanced down at her hand. It was fine, but now that she actually looked at it, she saw that he was right and there was dirt in the cut that she should probably go remove. She glanced over at the edge of the ring to see if the man was still there.

He was, and instead of leaning against the fence now he was standing up straight, watching expectantly. Bay took her sword as well and headed for the barracks.
