“Okay.” Ky followed close after him, glancing around. She didn’t like being in here. Best stick close. No one would hurt her when she was with Captain Bay… right?

The armory was heavily stocked with older armor, some of which were displayed on stands. "Go ahead and find one that fits you," Bay told her. "And find a wooden sword that feels right to handle."

Ky nodded and strode forward obediently, looking at each suit as she passed it. She finally found one that looked like it would fit and pulled it over her head, but it was too loose, by a lot. Was… she really that much smaller than she had been? She blushed and hung it back up, now doubting her ability to accurately estimate how big she was.

Bay had walked over to the wooden swords and pulled out a long, heavy looking one. He hefted it with a certain familiarity, then unsheathed his proper sword and hung it where the wooden one had been.

Ky managed to find one that fit well enough, deciding it was probably too big of an ask to get a perfectly tailored one. She'd always been small, and was, apparently, even scrawnier than before these days. She walked over to join Captain Bay, watching him warily. No chance she'd be able to swing one that big.

He glanced at her and slid the wooden sword into his sheath. "I carved this one myself," he told her. "Back when I was just starting out."

Ky glanced towards it, though couldn't tell much about it. Still, that was neat. She smiled. "Oh! That's cool!"

Bay dipped his head. "The rest of these are up for grabs; if you find one that you handle well then that's what you'll fight with."

"Okay." She nodded and quickly scanned the rack, pulling one off it and weighing it in her hands. It was a bit too heavy so she swapped it for another. She didn't like the balance of that one so she switched it out again. But the third one felt better, and she settled on it with another nod.
