(We'll see where it goes; I'm just trying to envision them in my head. It could go either way but I tried writing an interaction with the god of death through a dream yesterday and it felt weird making it eldritch. I dunno)

"That's fair. You've got plenty of time to figure things out, after all. No need to go rushing off just yet, right?"

(For a second I thought you meant you had that interaction via your dream and was like wait I thought you didn’t — lol)(but yeah that’s fair! I think I’ve been envisioning them more humanoid like Greek gods and such. Would be interesting for them to be monsters tho…)

“Exactly.” Ky nodded, glancing around. “Besides. Probably dumb for me to do that right now anyway, what with the assassins and everything.” And gods and trolls too. But she wasn’t convinced that Keeps could stop those anyhow. Maybe the trolls. But that would just be a hope that they didn’t find it worth their while; these walls definitely wouldn’t withstand an attack if the trolls decided they wanted to walk through them. So it was mostly the assassins that they could keep away from her here.

But they would have been able to do that back home, too. She desperately regretted consenting to coming here. She’d done it to please Tomhas. But that was back when she thought he cared about her and was making good, thoughtful decisions. As it turned out he just wanted her to leave. And he was impulsive besides. She should have chosen what would make Anneke happy instead. Something told her that would have worked out better for her than this was.

(I might try to go for a little of both...make them human but not human enough, you know?)

"Definitely more dangerous..." She glanced at Gaius. "Any word from Zander yet?"
"None just yet, no." He shook his head.

She grimaced. “It’s been a really long time…”

"I'll see if I can find him," Gaius said. "He could still be traveling."

“Okay…” Ky nodded. She couldn’t ask any more of him. What could he do? Nothing. And Zander had promised to make himself findable. So… hopefully he could be found. Or at the very least that he’d send a letter soon.

(Now I’m trying to think of what a letter could contain lol it’s probably coming soon)

We did discuss possibly switching to Zander at some point and every now and then just to spice things up and keep track of progress; would you have any interest in doing that at some point?)

"I'm sure he's well. Rönn is looking after him, not to mention he seems a very capable man."

(I’m down! I have no real ideas for tasks for him to do but I’d be down to develop Zander more if you have ideas for interactions… be nice to see how he is when he’s not Uncle Zander lol)

“Yeah…” Ky said, not convinced. “He’d be past the border by now though, right? Rönn’s supposed to come back once Zander gets to the border.”

(Okay! I'm mostly looking to do a little development of the South as a realm, so I'll follow your lead. Gaius has some contacts I could create, and we could deal with wardens and governors.)

"I believe so. But it would take Rönn the same amount of time to come back."

(I’d be down for that! I’d love to explore the South more so some contacts would be awesome. We could flip there once things start to feel stale here?)

“But that means Zander should be sending a letter…” Ky said, now that she was thinking about it, she was getting worried that she hadn’t heard from him yet.

Gaius nodded in agreement. "If so, it should arrive pretty soon."

Ky nodded, voice a little weak as she answered, "I hope so."

(hello friend I have messaged you on Discord -- I prefer RPing on-site partly bc I am wildly gratified by watching our post count/page count increase but also I am completely addicted to our duos so if YWS crashes for-real for-real like it did a bit earlier then may I suggest we pick things back up on Discord? I'm just gonna be super sad if YWS crashes for realsies and we end up losing all of our work. I'm going to do my best to c/p as much of the duo as I can without reading through it like I have been into a Google doc so that we don't lose it if the site crashes but now I'm getting hecking nervous)

(Aha that would be absolutely fantastic! This is taking me an obscene amount of time — though I don’t regret it — but I’d certainly welcome the help! I’m on page 58 of thread one and we have broken 84k — we are absolutely insane xD if you want to start on thread 7 maybe that could be a good way to divvy it up?)(do you think we’ve passed a million?
