"Everyone's mad at me." She shrugged, swallowing hard to try to clear her throat of the honey.
She was still holding the majority of the comb and was getting tired of trying to pretend like she wanted it when she very much did not. It felt like literally any other food out there would have been easier to bluff with than one that was physically difficult to swallow at baseline. She wanted to try to offer it to him again to get her hands free, but she didn't want him to notice that she still had it. She... didn't... want any of this. She wanted to go back to bed.

She huffed a sigh and shoved her honeycomb back in its package, deciding that if she couldn't just side-step the issue then she wasn't going to assault her stomach and pretend like she wanted food when she really, really didn't.
