They both smiled at that and subconsciously shifted, imagining their freedom. And then simultaneously realizing how bad of a look it was to fantasize about freedom of any sort in front of their hosts. They probably seemed so ungrateful. Ky glanced between them with wide eyes, aghast, and quickly looked back at the table, blushing even worse. This... this was... what? How could she go from being so gentle to wishing harm on someone? How...? What? Ky's brain refused to process.
Tadaaki had been staring at the table, eyes intent on not glancing up for even a moment, as blood rushed to his face as well. Ky had opened this can of worms. She could close it, too. He'd stay out of the way.

Ky decided it'd be awkward for them to both stare at the table so she forced herself to glance around as casually as she could, though she was very, very careful not to actually look directly at anyone. No risk of catching their eyes. Hopefully.
