Ky smiled and bowed in return, then hesitated and awkwardly curtsied instead. That’s what girls were supposed to do… right? She put her hand on the knob uncertainly, trying to read what was socially acceptable. Did this mean it was time to be locked in again? Or would that be rude? Her smiled faltered. She didn’t like that. She didn’t like that at all.
Was she getting psychoanalyzed about which she’d pick? Probably.

She… didn’t know him well enough to know. Perhaps his study, but she definitely didn’t want that. The very thought made her anxious. But she also didn’t want to have to try to play it cool in the library — that would do nothing but split her focus. So… “um… I mean… I-I don’t mind either way. But…um… I suppose we’re already here?”
That would also save him the trouble of having to walk her back here to lock her up. Two birds, she supposed.
