Hieronymus studied him with a small smile. "Hm. Okay, you're probably right."
"The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that." -Karis Nemik

"Could it be armor?" he asked. "Is the skin tough enough?"

"It is, but it's particularly vulnerable to certain metals. Iron and silver will...melt it, in a sense. We haven't been able to test it against a live demon, so we cannot know if it will hold up to the strength and material of a demon."

Soon enough, all that was left of the creature was the bones, to which Kivvien re-applied the antidote-infused oil and wrapped them back in the tarp. He didn't have the time nor materials to grind them to dust, which could then be dissolved, or clean, degrease, and carve into weapons, so simply preserving them was his only option.
"And what do the bones do?" he asked, crouching beside Kivvien now.

"Well, in theory they can be used for weapons. Demons have been observed to be able to hurt each other, so it stands to reason that their bones would serve that function. Of course, I can't fully process them now, so they'll have to be preserved until I can."
"The skull would make a charming helmet," he chuckled.

Hieronymus grinned. "Oh, I hope so. That would be a sight to behold. It would have the demons running for cover."
