Ky smiled, a little self-depreciating. “I was warned against that before I was allowed to see the collection.”
Not that that would work for her anyhow. If she wanted to disappear she’d go elsewhere. She didn’t know, yet, where there were potential hiding spots — and she didn’t plan to look — but the library would be the very first place they checked for her.

Ingrid joined her laughter with a bit of surprise; it was evident she wasn't accustomed to laughing along with nobles.

Ingrid didn't seem to know how to take that compliment, but she bobbed a curtsey. "I'm very glad to find a young lady so fascinated by books!" she replied. "Lord Gaius's little ones are too young at the moment; I miss that wide-eyed wonder that I used to see when he and Lord Tomhas would come in here as little boys."
