It doesn't sound that cold, no. But the average temp for my city during July is between 10C and 18C....compared to summer where it's the highs are like 20-20+, you know? So yeah, it's cold. XD

Oh, absolutely! It's really fascinating!

That sounds more pleasant. July is usually the warmest month in (Western) Europe and February is the coldest. But there it is usually around 3 - 4 C with snow.

The last few days it was so warm that even at night it remained above 20 C. In one week I'll be moving to my new home and I don´t think that will change in a large city of nearly 4 million people...

Nov-Feb is our hottest time. So, like, a hot christmas is the usual to me. I can only imagine what a snowy one is like! I usually tell people that if they want to visit Aus, they should visit in like June/July/August because it's cooler.

Ooh, that sounds exciting! Moving, that is. 10c+ at night suuuucks.

You sometimes see it on TV when Santa runs around in swim shorts. But it's definitely cool to have a barbecue for Christmas and sit outside... :D

Yeah, but the heat will not stop me from living there. It's better than the village of 70 people where I live now... :D

Haha, yeah, those are always hilarious.

Oh, definitely! Small towns/villages are...not great. Everyone knows everyone else and everyone will know aaaall about your business. It's ridiculous

Yeah, and the village is shrinking. Yesterday and today were funerals. The cemetery has a larger population than the people living here.

But it has one advantage; nothing happens here. The world could get destroyed and we wouldn´t know it. :D

Above all, the transport connections are stupid. Without a car, you're stuck here. But only seven days, and I´m gone. I am so full of anticipation!

Yeah, getting around is a lot easier in a city. Public transport is so good.

Indeed. And I really like using subways and trams. They are like the veins of the city and are full of history.

And in Germany we have S-Bahn, which is like the subway, just is owned by the country´s train company. And is way too late most of the time.

We have trains and busses here. I think there used to be trams in parts of my city but not anymore. I think they're still active in places like Melbourne and Adelaide, though?

Many cities in Germany still have trams. Especially those that were completely bombed during the war, the tracks were used for wreckage cars and after it back for trams. But trams are more popular in the eastern part of Germany.

Trams are free city rides! :D

Fascinating. I've never been on a tram! It sounds like it would be really fun.

I think it is. Especially when the subway is driving underground and the bus is adapted to road traffic. Ferries are also cool. There are also some in the city to get from one side of a lake to the other.
