The world is in decay. The former great powers have joined forces to exploit Antarctica to satisfy their greed for raw materials. Their aim was to launch a joint mission: asteroid mining. For decades, scientists from different nations researched and worked together to build a spaceelevator, to have a base station from which to explore space and obtain raw materials. But the Earth has long since changed. Climate change has hit Europe hard, many nations have changed sides and there is a war between the nations that consider Antarctica part of their territory. Maps have been redrawn more and more in recent years because of the rising of the ocean and wars, and the population is barely able to feed itself. The internet has become an addiction and is tightly controlled, governments are overthrown and different truths clash.
I don´t know. Sounds a bit like some cyberpunk but also some dystopian world.
I don´t know if something like this could work as an rp. What would be our goal, our jobs? Maybe escaping through the space elevator? There´s already a new colony because a new war has started between several countries and the world isn´t safe anymore because through global warming a lot of species died out and more and more plants die, and people start to suffocate? I don´t know how accurate something like this is.
