Cool, though. One of my ancestors was apparently handmaiden to Anne Boleyn. I don't know her name or anything, so who knows if that's just a family rumour, you know? But cool stuff to learn, right?

My favorite bit of family history is my dad is "the third" (i.e., has the same name as his dad and grandpa). Never thought much of it.
But my great-great-grandfather was apparently Not A Great Guy and named his son after himself, but then abandoned the family when my great-grandpa was very young. So my great-grandpa was like "screw you" and once he was old enough legally changed his name to his favorite author's name.
No one knew this until well after he died, when my mom was looking into some genealogy and discovered the discrepancy haha
