Information

This is a contest for you to put your creative art skills to the test! Your prompt is "Chair de Lune," the fantastic misspelling of "Clair de Lune," and you can submit a poem, piece of artwork, meme, potato, or literally whataver you can come up with based on this prompt! I am open to whatever :) By participating, you will be giving something the world has been missing for a long time.

Rules

Nothing really, except keeping it family friendly and no swearing ^_^

Prizes

1st place: a fantastic unicorn gif, 300 points, a haiku, a potato picture, a very wonderful ten second drawing of something of your choice

2nd place: a fantastic unicorn gif, 200 points, a haiku, a potato picture

3rd place: a fantastic unicorn gif, 100 points, a haiku

This is admittedly a very basic meme, but it's a funny meme and the first one that came to mind, so it's what I'll be submitting for this contest.

This is my take on “Chair” de Lune:

A small note,
Standing alone,
Ringing out,
All on its own.

As the music fades out,
And silence sets in,
I fall to my chair,
And put my hand on my chin.

I played it again,
Listed one more time,
I looked around,
And turned on a dime.

I picked up a spoon,
And looked at the stack,
Of the chairs on high,
I hit it with clack.

A ping echoed,
Through all the room,
As I play,
Clair Chair de Lune.

Walking a lone path
under the cold sheet of night
Stopped on the top of a bridge
over a peaceful riverbed.
He smiled at the moon.
The moon smiled back.
He longed to see her again
but he couldn't
for he could only gaze upon
the celestial wonder
they both found joy in.
He bowed his head
and walked away
with all his wishes
never coming true.

I actually didn't really go the route of being very angsty in my writing today, and oh wow oh wow, I'm so surprised about that.

Have you heard Clair de Spoon?
He giggles and slaps with stainless steel
and rattles with a sound that makes me reel

My dearest, dearest Clair de Lune
Have you seen Clair de Spoon?
He shines with light so bright
it penetrates the kitchen night

My dearest, dearest Clair de Lune
Have you felt Clair de Spoon?
He multitasks as a soup cradle
and sometimes as a gumbo ladle

My dearest, dearest Clair de Lune
Have you smelled Clair de Spoon?
His aroma is that of dish soap
but if you ask him, he'll say "nope"

My dearest, dearest Clair de Lune
Have you tasted Clair de Spoon?
He burns your tongue with vigor
and freezes it with rigor

My dearest, dearest Clair de Lune
Have you met Clair de Spoon?
He changes the line every time,
but keeps the poem still in line

because if you noticed, there is a small fright
see, you're a chair, the spoon was right.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who participated in this little contest! c: I honestly wasn't expecting many submissions, so it was really nice and heartwarming to see so many people participate! ^_^ I had an absolute BLAST reading through all of your work! I cannot tell you how many times I laughed and smiled; YOU GUYS ARE ALL SO TALENTED AND AMAZING, OMG?!?!?!?!



It was extremely, extremely hard to choose only 3 winners - I knew I couldn't do it by myself, so I asked two of my friends to help me judge, as well as the unicorn council. But you guys are all first place in my eyes :") HERE ARE THE RESULTS!
