I think we might almost be ready to make this into an actual thread. >> All we need is a title and a plan for the story. I feel like Icarus and Poseidon's main goal would to be get back to their reality/world? So we could have them doing that in the background, but have some fun bonding as the main focus of the duo.

Great! I like that a lot. I don't know that Wren has a huge external goal in this story aside from helping the boys get back home. I almost want to write her as a situational part of Icarus and Poseidon's life. She shows up by chance, and they make their impacts on each other, and when it's time for everyone to go home, they go home. I'm kind of a softie for situational friends and the bittersweet story they usually tell.

Oooh I love that! Friendships like that always make me sad, but I'm also a sucker for friendships being formed in strange situations. <3 <3

Maybe the duo's name could reference that somehow? The first word that came to mind was hiraeth, but I'm not sure it completely fits what we had in mind.

I actually love that! I think it fits just enough. The definition of the word is longing for a home you've never had, so maybe the "home" in this rp could be the trio could have had, in another life.

I went ahead and changed the name of this thread. If you want, I could try getting up the actual duo sometime today or tomorrow! I'm leaning towards today, but I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to get it up then. >>

I love how Wren goes to the water beach calms her—especially since what's about to happen isn't all that calming. But her connection to the beach is really cool, and it actually inspired me to have the setting play a stronger, more present role in my post. c:

That's okay! It looks like we've both forgotten about this RP Duo at least once.

Also, I posted as well! I realized right after your post that there's probably going to be a language barrier until Poseidon wakes up and can use some fancy god magic to make them all understand each other, but poor Icarus and Wren are going to have a fun time trying to talk to each other before then.

I posted again! If you're okay with it, I could have Poseidon wake up in my next post to get rid of the language barrier. But I'm also cool with having them trying to work through now that they're out of the water, too!

I posted! I went ahead and woke Poseidon up.

I think he works as a translator without really thinking about it—he just needs to be up so his magic can naturally do its work.

(Which means Wren would have heard the entire conversation. )
