Based upon the musings of this thread.

Synopsis
Following a divisive and seemingly awful 2020 election, the county has split into six different nations. America is now more divided than ever, and amidst it all, the governor of Texas is struggling with his faith in God, country and democracy as he moves to reunite the nation he has done his best to serve. Up against democratic socialists, the Tea Party states, and a people seeking to avoid war, however, makes that all the more difficult...

Rachel Davis: Wife of Gov. Davis
Dorothy Winthrop: President of the United States; Victor of the 2020 Election
Calvin Nickson: President of the American League of States; Primary loser of the 2020 Election
George Flite: Governor of Iowa; Friend and VP pick of Davis
Amy Montgomery: President of the Free South
Tucker Carlton: Governor-turned-president of Montana

You actually made it.

I'm always fascinated by how you tackle politics and America, so I'm really curious to see how this story turns out! It looks like you already have an interesting cast, and I love how you already made a map for your book.

Ok, I'm doing ok-ish with this atm. I've posted a segment on here, and I wanna hit 10,000 words soon if I can, but-- well, writer's block is already here.

So, some updates on this for anyone subscribing to this...

It's been slow. Too slow. Like as slow as sludge. A few words trickle in each day, but I've been putting some more effort into the character sheets to spice things up just by doing some writing at all.

I have, however, earned some things about my characters through this process, and I can't wait to incorporate some of this! I've hit 4,119 words and completed five sections thus far, which is really great! At the time of writing, I'm doing more character sheets and adding to Part 6.

When I've got some time, I'm going to do a bunch of reviews and post some of it for y'all!

More updates...

It's a slow work in progress. I think I could hit maybe 20,000 tops by the end of the month. At the time of writing, I currently sit at just over 5000 words, and some sad but important stuff has happened. (No, @Euphoria8, no one is dead! Yet) I really hope to start reviewing a little bit so I can post this stuff, but I think I've forgotten how to review XD
