And so the first character has been approved (Also, we're still contemplating the gender of our character atm, hence why we have submitted him/her yet XD)

But, so far, so good

Taro has been approved RadDog Also, you helped us decide on our character's gender with your character Was going to be a 27yo bi- female, but that's too close to Taro, so we're making them a 24yo ace male (which is probably going to be the first time ever we have a character that is so close to how our body is irl XD )

As to when we all can start posting- since this is a Registered LSS Ship, we preferably should hold our posts until the event starts, but that doesn't mean we can't start discussing our posts and stuff. Since this SB will be very Character, not plot, focused, we don't have a set sequence of events or anything other than we wrote in the intro post.
Thus whatever you guys have in mind for your characters, let's run with those ideas and see where they take us

Hey! So I submitted my character profile... should I change anything about ol' Jasper?

For him, I've got an idea that he'll probably ask some drug dealers if they know where any of the missing dealers have gone, then track them down through the streets on an off-day. Before that, he'll probably interact a lot with the pub and give authority to run it for a day to one of his older employees. Maybe while he's searching he can get a bit too close to the "tangible void," or meet another main character, or something else.

Also... what are the rules on swearing? Because if I know Jasper, he definitely swears.

Hey @Lia5Giba, we've accepted Jasper (which now fills out our character roster )

Regarding swearing, we prefer to follow YWS policy on cursing, so try to avoid the "standard" curses where possible (so like the f-bomb, etc), instead supplementing them for your own unique curses (that can be gleaned from the full context to be curses, but at passing won't stand out)

If you do throw in actual curses, use the standard "star method" (where you replace all the letters between the first and last, or at least all vowels, with * )

Speaking of the story, we think the first few posts we can use to establish the Characters and any potential supporting characters (so like Charles' sister/brother, some of Jasper's staff, some of Taro/Sofi's family/friends/colleagues, etc)
Even though the Pale (the main "void mass") is still quite far away from the continent), some "pocket voids" can appear/disappear in places. So like, Jasper might be walking outside for a cig or something, and suddenly all sound around him dies away (like even his own breath/voice will sound far-off), or everything goes black, etc. These "Pale pockets" essentially remove something specific from their entire space if you enter (so like, they can even completely make your empathy/frustrations completely disappear) The rules behind these pockets aren't set in stone, but the point is, they're like scars in the world that many people don't even notice, and can be as small as a dime, or as large as a car (they're not massive yet, but will grow in time) Y'all can do with this whatever y'all want, as long as we all keep to the things established by the others (so if Taro encounters a pocket that completely removes the taste of strawberry ice cream beside their front door, then that pocket must be the same for everyone, etc)
