Mae bent down under the counter to find the human dessert menu. The humans that passed through his diner were usually too much of cheapskates or pigs to go for a round of dessert. It was of course not odd at all for space travelers to not know what their species was.
The diner owner brought the menus up with a grimace and a sigh, a cramp quickly growing in their back. He sat them down and began explaining, “You hometown Earth favorites are on the first two pages.”
Mae flipped to the bake cover and continued, “And the hot stuff is at the end. If you have any questions just ring for Mae.”

Wilson happily took the menu and looked it over, seeing a lot of earth classics on the front. Her eye widened at the big, triple-chocolate cake. Now that would be heavy and rich.

She pointed to it with great enthusiasm and her face alight, looking over to Sam.

"How do you feel about cake?"

Sam, who had been fervently searching the menu in an attempt to narrow down what exactly they wanted and failing miserably in the attempt, glanced over at Wilson's menu.

"Yes," Sam replied, only to realize that "yes" wasn't exactly a good answer to the question. "Cake sounds amazing. Especially chocolate cake. I'd get a stomachache from it later, but it would be so worth it."

Wilson grinned. "Okay. Well, that was easy!" She lifted a hand to wave down another server behind the counter.

"We want two slices of triple chocolate cake, please!"
