This is one of my favorite panels from the first episode of my webcomic. The character is Evinora, one of the main characters and Kassia's younger fifteen year-old sister (in this picture, she's thirteen).
Nora is headstrong, stubborn, brave, optimistic, and fierce. Though she can be a bit of an airhead, and is often reckless and short-tempered, she's honest and wants to do the right thing. While Luisa might be my favorite character to draw.. Nora is my favorite character to write.
Tbh, I absolutely loathe (most) social media and keeping up with it feels like a chore I've been putting off for years. But now I'm finally making an effort to be more active, having had the belated realization that no one will ever see my art, comics, or written works otherwise.. except my dad and maybe my little siblings lol.
Art challenges and contests seemed like the easiest and most fun way to get exposure, put myself out there, and meet other artists. So here's my first contribution to instagram's surplus of pretty female portraits, a WIP done for raidesart's draw-this-in-your-own-style challenge.
I'm having a lot of fun with the vivid, saturated colors.
Finished my WIP for raidesart's art challenge. I actually really like how it turned out, though I realized after posting it on instagram that I completely forgot to add the backlighting from the moonlight.. whoops.
But overall, this one was a lot of fun to work on and I think it's probably the most polished-looking digital piece I've ever done.
ALY WHAAAAAAT ;-; I'm in awe. This is so freaking beautiful. I thought the first one was really really nice with perfect linework and then you end up turning it into a masterpiece of a lineless painting. Wow. Wowowow.
I'd love to see more progress shots of your works in the future!!
