Falling Down the Mineshaft [DT]

Hello there! If we haven't met before, I'm Mage. I know this is a long post, but please read through all of it - it has some very important information about the story!

The basic premise of this storybook is that our characters are Minecraft players who end up in Minecraft on the day of the Village & Pillage update. As mentioned in the actual storybook, they've ended up as their Minecraft skins. You're free to pick whatever skins you want. Your characters also don't have to play Minecraft from a computer – other devices are perfectly fine, as long as they're able to play on that day.

As of right now, I'm thinking they'll end up in some kind of forest. I'm open to suggestions on which type, but it might also help to see where our characters are from before picking out a definite starting location. Each character discovers they have some kind of power at their disposal – it's up to our group to figure out why they can either use darkness or fire.

And, of course, no good Minecraft fanfiction would leave out Herobrine, so our guys will have to keep a guy out for him.

Besides that, the only other important things to cover right now are that Minecraft isn't blocky once they're in the game, and that mods are allowed – but only before they get trapped. Once they are, they're left with whatever was in their inventory. If that's something that was modded, they can keep it. If not, they won't be able to use their mods.

Also, I love how I never intended for this to be comedic, but now it is and I can't help but feel like this was how it was meant to be.

The Challenge

The goal of the first challenge is to introduce our characters and get them a little more acquainted with their new world - and appearances. Most of the introduction's style lies in your hands, but there's some features that would be awesome to see in your first post. Seeing their life before ending up in Minecraft, adjusting to their new skin, trying to figure out what's going on - these are just some of the things that you might want to include in your first post.

You can get one point for posting, and another point if your post is over 500 words. You can get one point for doing each of these following things in your post, for a grand total of four points:

1. Have your character interact with someone else's character.
2. Include a section involving the character's regular life.
3. Describe your character's reaction to suddenly being their skin.
4. Describe your character's plan for what they're going to do now that they're in Minecraft.

You can get up to six points from this challenge!
