2019 NaPo Buddies

National Poetry Writing Month is just around the corner! If you're not sure what it is yet, stop by the Welcome Thread and find out what it's all about! Everyone who would like to is invited to participate, whether you're a poetry-regular, or haven't touched it since elementary school. It's 30 days of Poetry Writing, and it's an absolute blast.

One of the best parts about National Poetry Month is getting encouraging little comments on your NaPo thread.

This year we're going to help facilitate that a little bit - and give the option to sign up to be paired with a poetry buddy to encourage during NaPo.

If you sign up for NaPo Buddies - you will be encouraged to comment in your assigned buddy's NaPo thread periodically throughout the month. Other options for encouraging might be to check in with them, post encouragement on their wall, letting them know your favorite poem they've written, or even exchanging poetry prompts - but really how you choose to encourage them is up to you! Of course you are not limited to just commenting on your Buddy's page, but this way you know there will be at least one person who will comment on your thread and who knows? Maybe you'll even make a new friend!

We'll throw weekly reminders in this thread to keep up the momentum, but feel free to encourage however you see fit.

If you'd like to be paired up just comment below before April 1st! The list of pairs will be out April 2. You can also comment below if you have any questions!

I don't know if I'll be able to write daily myself, but I'll definitely give feedback to my buddy regularly.

Count me in as well.
