She shook her head and sighed “I’m trying to think of a way to help with this issue” she said softly and frowned lightly. She closed her palm and eyes concentrated on growing a flower in her hand. She opened her eyes and then her hand seeing a small blooming flower in it , she smiled.
"That's cute." Sasha said, noting the flower in Mercury's hand. Glancing at Dilan she laughed as he juggled four books. One landed on the ground and she picked it up. The title caught her attention.
She smiled and looked st the flower intently as it grew taller eventually reaching her other hand hovering a few inches wbove it. She looked up hearing the book drop and made a face.
Mercury watched them smirking and rolled her eyes opening the book since the other two wouldn’t and watched them listening to the conversation waiting for them to realize she’d opened the book for them.
Mercury squealed quietly seeing him hug her and smiled “awwwwwwwww I feel the love” she said smiling at them. She looked at the book and frowned “it seems it’s wrote in Latin” she said peering at the words on the page confused by the meaning. She knew Latin but it was in an old form of latin that she was still trying to perfect , she frowned “I can’t interpreted it , it’s old Latin this time if it wasn’t I could’ve translated it” she said sadly “I can try to now though”
She nods and got a piece of paper translating the words she could figure out at the moment and frowned “that’s all I can translate , it’s not much but it’s a start” she said and pushed the paper towards them
"Hmm. Sashi? Can you read that? The handwriting is too neat." Dilan grinned. Sasha smiled at him. He's so cute, she thought.
"Let's see. So like, you've got that weird looking word that means growing. Then there's visions. Then, love. Doomsday. Our Town. Them. Maybe peace. That's it." Sasha smiled. "You know a lot, smarty pants!" She teased.
She listened to what sasha was saying and nodded along. She smiled and nodded “hey in my defense I’m still learning old Latin , I know newer Latin just not the older Latin” she said defensively.
"Okay, okay. You did pretty good though!" Dilan said. Sasha nodded. She got up and went to the librarian at the front desk.
"Can I borrow this book for a few weeks?" She asked politely.
"Yes, you have fourteen days' time. Return it before then, or you have to sort out the entire library after the daily stampede of kids." As the librarian said this, an actual stampede of kids came right in. Meaning: baby goats. Sasha shrieked and ducked under a table to protect herself.
She smiled and nodded “thanks” she said to him quietly and looked back at the book. She continued to do what she had been transcribing it into a way she could understand it. She laughed as she saw what happened to sasha.
