Hi Everyone and welcome to another month of NaPoWriMo, happening right here this April! Are you already planning your poetry themes? Or are you the type to make it up as you go along?

Use this thread to show your interest and share tips ready for the big event!

What is NaPoWriMo?

NaPoWriMo is when some crazy poets set ourselves the task of writing 30 poems in just one month. The traditionalists will try to write one poem every day, but as long as you've got 30 poems by the end of April, you have officially beaten the challenge!

The event starts on April 1st and the only rule is that you may not write any poetry until then. You can, however, jot down ideas for poems or make a list of themes. Some people like to use one theme for the whole event and have all thirty of their poems revolve around it, but others find it easier to go with the flow and write whatever comes to mind.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread.

Can I put up my NaPo thread up now?

I am burdened with glorious purpose....and a lot of poetic angst.

The Poetry Party Inspo Gathering Extravaganza is open now through the end of the weekend! :)

If you need some help gathering inspo or want to participate in a few poetry activities check out the Writers Feed Pad or the Forum Thread - you may even find some of the Inspo Activites helpful for generating prompts during April so I'll leave both threads open. :)

Also watch for some poetry jams 6 pm Central Time Saturday & Sunday. :)
