SB Housekeeping & General Info (gathered from DT posts) PLEASE READ: >> Since this is more or less a survival SB, try and make characters with particular skill sets or roles (e.g. medic, warrior, scholar, explorerer/scavenger, leader, astronomer, pilot, archaeologist/historian, or even just the glue that keeps everyone friendly with each other). You can best mention this in the ‘Strengths’ and ‘Weaknesses’ sections of the character template. Update:
So far we have four characters ready to go, which is pretty good. I'd like to have at least 5 or 6 before we get posts rolling. If you know of anyone who might be willing to join this type of SB it would be marvellous of you to shoot them a casual invitation.

Some housekeeping:
-- Make sure you've subscribed to both the Storybook page and this Discussion Topic.
-- Have a read of the WriterFeed Pad (and maybe add some fresh, spunky ideas). You'll notice that below the plot planning there is a spot reserved for 'character relationships'. As we wait for more people to join the Storybook, try and write a short description of what your character's relationship might be with the other characters listed.
-- As we go forward, make sure to read all SB and DT posts so that there is no inconsistency or miscommunication.
-- Get hyped for the adventure to come!

@CoffeeCat, I think I have a slight problem, it won't seem to let me into the WFP. I'll enter my username and password but it'll keep saying it's wrong, and I'm not sure why. Because you're the creator of the WFP, I thought you might be able to help me. If you don't know what's wrong, that's okay as well!

I think @Coffeecat probably needs to set it to public. I didn't try logging into it, but that type of thing tends to show up when a pad is set to private.

It’s always nice to have some new faces around. I’ll also say that if you need help navigating storybook things or are confused/uncertain in any way don’t hesitate to ask me for help ^^

Here’s some basic clarifications if you need them:

Spoiler

— SB stands for Storybook and DT stands for Discussion Topic (the page you’re on now). The Storybook is where we actually write the story together, and the Discussion Topic is where we chat like this and discuss/plan ideas for the story. They are both linked at the top right corner of each page c:
— On the Storybook page on the right hand side you’ll find a list of our characters as well as the Storybook rules. Also on the page in my main post is a Character Template which you can copy and paste when you create a new character (by clicking ‘create new character’ at the bottom of the character list).
— To go with this story’s Discussion Topic is the WriterFeed Pad (WFP), which is a shared online document that everyone can write in, making it awesome for planning together. You can find it linked in the first post of both this DT and the SB.

A lot of this might be obvious to you, but I thought I’d explain anyways. Try clicking on the SB character profiles and reading them if you haven’t already. Then you can go ahead and make your own character!
