Kartiel had spent the entirety of the conversation staring at the man. He had been the one to support Jaron's plan in the first place, and the one who had begrudgingly allowed him to go through with his own plan. It had just made sense that he'd want to come with them! "You do realize I can teleport you back, right?" he slowly said, still keeping his eyes on him. "All I have to do is grab onto you again and visualize the side of the cave we were on."
The woman blinks at Raiden, her eyes the only thing visible above her black mask. "You can call me Viper," is her only reply.

Kratzer stays out of it, watching the group from the sidelines. Why get involved with all of this when he doesn't have to, especially with the devil in it?
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
He didn't need the help getting back up, but Kartiel took the hand anyways. He already been in the process of visualizing the mouth of the cave. All that he had needed was to touch the man's hand. Now that he was on his feet again, he teleported back to the cave. The man was probably going to protest the action - again - but he honestly didn't care. He just wanted to get rid of the guy as soon as possible.
"There," he said when they appeared in the cave. "You happy-"
He paused, suddenly noticing that they weren't alone up there. Two more people were present. A boy, likely around his age, and a woman who looked more than a little suspicious. He cursed his luck. Rather than return to where the interesting stuff was happening, he had to stick around up here with the person he currently disliked the most and do small talk with strangers. Wonderful.

Lucifer tried his best to brush the sand off of his clothes, but a little stubbornly clung to the fabric of his hoodie. He sighed. It looked like it was getting more stains on it today. He honestly shouldn't have been disappointed - it tended to get stained on an almost daily basis - but sand usually wasn't one of the mediums he worked with.
The one person he had talked to, King Kartiel, had suddenly disappeared. He wasn't sure if he wanted to continue talking with him after the confrontation earlier, but it did mean that he had to completely start over. At least, that was his initial thought. He did realize Jaron was possibly moments later, but then also realized that he had somehow fallen asleep.
Which left only one person.
He made his way to the man who had been shouting at him from the other side of the rocks back when they were in the upper part of the cave. He hated the thought of interacting him - his soul gave him a really bad feeling - but what else could he do? He needed answers from him. "You never answered me earlier," he said, coming to a stop in front of him. "How did you know about me and Apophis?"
Aaaand the angry man was gone. Kendrik sighed and looked around. The others appeared to talking among each other, except for Reyes. The hound wasn't exactly in the mood to talk to a dead man. Also, small as the beach was, he felt too close to everyone. That's why he walked over to the deck protruding from one side of the island. The wood creaked under his and Jaron's weight, but it held.
Still, the idea of falling into the tranquil water frightened him enough that he walked over to the nearest canoe. Setting Jaron down on it, Kendrik sat behind Jaron. The canoe they rested in gently rocked, leaving ripples in the water. The hound watched the cave stretch in all directions. He realized that the edges of the cavern were coated in mist, and he could've sworn he saw shadows in the distance.
And then Jaron started snoring. Kendrik covered his ears and groaned.

"Oh, well, people suddenly appearing totally isn't out of the ordinary," the woman commented dryly through her mask, gazing at Kartiel and James.

Kratzer gazed at him solidly, demeanor definitely guarded and his stance ready to fight. "Give me one good reason why I should tell you anything."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Raiden nodded. "This happens every day, nothing unusual," he said seriously, although he was joking. He nodded, before turning to the masked girl who called herself 'Viper'. "Nice to meet you Viper. You have a particularly cool mask."
I'm cool as a cucumber Even if I'm in a pickle
Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
I guess today is a good day for joining rps. Adeline is a girl made out of glass- different parts of her body are different thicknesses- i.e. Her torso is the thickest part of her and her hair is basically long fiberglass strands- her skin is not transparent- it's a foggy blue color and almost has the quality of very thick ice. She is a lost member of her dying species. Prefers to not wear clothes, but usually wears a long cloak or tunic so as not to possibly offend.
Adeline woke up in a cave, and quickly made for the exit. It didn't hurt, but the cave floor was scratching lines across the bottom of her bare feet. The sensation combined with the noise it made was entirely unpleasant. She walked past a group of people, thinking of possible confrontations and how to reply. She didn't want to talk to anyone if she could avoid it- she was grouchy and keep teleporting odd places, and was in no mood for stares or inquiries.
Kartiel opened his mouth to address the strangers, but he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Spinning around with his magic on the verge of being summoned, he saw a girl - if she could even be called that - that made his jaw drop.
"You're-you're made of glass," he managed to get out. He knew it was a stupidly obvious thing to say, but it was the first thing that had come to mind at the sight of her.

Lucifer thought for a minute. It was hard to come up with a good answer when it should have been obvious to the man. It was hard to figure out why he thought that, but, once he did, it was easy to argue against. "You know more than I do," he said, looking him in the eye. "I don't know even know your name."
After another awkward moment of silence, he added, "And I can't harm you unless I verbally say a spell. So you're safe, if my power is the reason you're hostile right now. If I even start to utter one, you can just cover my mouth with your hand."
He gave him a pleading look.
"Please tell me how you know," he begged.

The strange man and equally strange teenager had disappeared. The man who was apparently Lucifer - and the boy Luke, if he had heard things correctly - was talking with Krazter. And Jaron and Kendrik were off in one of the boats, though it had yet to leave the shore. He felt completely and utterly alone. It was far from a new feeling, but it still was unpleasant.
He crossed his arms and surveyed the scene for a second time. Kratzer and Lucifer's discussion was looking quite heated, so joining in was out of the question. That left Jaron and Kendrik. Kendrik, who seemed at least a little turned off by his proclamation that he could heal unnaturally. And Jaron, who-
He squinted. Jaron appeared to be fast asleep; the snoring only confirmed it. He casually walked over to the duo. Not his first choice for a conversation, but it was something. He came to a stop on the deck. Sitting down with his legs crossed, he gave him a casual wave. The action would hopefully be less threatening than if he had been standing.
"He looks like he's sleeping hard," he said, gesturing at Jaron.
Kendrik looked down at Jaron. It gave him something to focus on that wasn't Reyes and his foot. Moving his paws from his ears, Kendrik nodded. "We don't get good sleep," he said. "He's always thinking of things ta make, and I'm trying ta catch up. Mostly 'bout that fake arm of his. Guess after all that running around in the woods and being separated, he called it quits for the day." He placed a paw on Jaron's forehead; the fox's nose twitched.
"Sounds awful, don't he?" Kendrik gestured to Jaron and quietly laughed.
Adeline froze at the comment she knew was coming- she took a moment to sigh and compose herself before turning around to face the direction it had come from.
"Yes, and you're made of flesh." she raised her brows, "now that we've addressed the miracle of both of us functioning, can we move on?"
James was done. He was done for the day. For the week. For the month. Another person appeared and her appearance and existence made absolutely no sense to him, but he was beyond overstimulated and overtired to give it more mental energy than he deemed fit - which was none, at the moment.
Completely ignoring everyone else, he trudged over to a wall of the cave, as away from the others as possible, and sat down, leaning his head against the wall.
"I guess he does," Reyes said, a smiling flickering across his lips. This conversation was surprisingly more enjoyable than he had thought it would be, especially considering the rocky start they had before everyone else showed up. That was probably something he should fix while it was just the two of them.
"I'm not sure if it's something I would apologize for," he started, "but I'm going to play it safe, considering that I'm new to people knowing the truth about me. I'm sorry about being so abrupt earlier. My...condition isn't exactly a normal thing, and I'm sure it didn't help when you were already concerned for Jaron."
xXx
"No, we can't," Kartiel protested, still watching her with wide eyes. "You're made of glass. How does that even work!? You can't possibly be functioning right now unless magic is at play, but then that means someone must have created you and that's an entirely different discussion."
"Maybe she's from a different world. Or a different place entirely. She's a different species than human," James said wearily. "Just... let it happen."
