"Oh," he whispered.

It only took a second for him to figure out which one it could possibly be. He could never be pure. Someone like him had too dark of a past to be easily considered a good guy, and it matched perfectly with the personalities of the other people there. Sean was the only exception so far, but Oz was sure there was some evil thing in his past as well. Oz may have appeared to be a good person. And, during his time as Oz, he had been! He had done everything a good person could possibly do.

But he wasn't always Oz.

And someone who took pleasure in war could never be considered pure.

Sean sighed. He'd stop trying to anger the dragon boye for now.
"How are you sure of that?" he asked, looking at the dragon with less indifference and some semblance of curiosity.

Trying not to focus too much on what Behemoth had evidently accused them all of, Oz straightened and adopted a look of curiosity. He wasn't going to let them see how close the suggestion had been, especially when he had to keep up the personality he had adopted. "What makes you say that?" Oz questioned, folding his arms in an open manner. "I don't think I seem all that evil!"

"I mean if you are, I'd be pretty scared. You actually seem kind of nice," Sean replied, scratching his cheek.
"I don't know if I'm evil in nature, but I suppose to some I could be." He pulled out some chewing gum from his back pocket. Mumbling something along the lines of "forgot about this," he popped one in his mouth.

At least one person thought he was good. He should have taken some solace in that fact, but now he only felt guilty for deceiving him. But even though Sean was the current source of his anguish, he did have something that could make him feel better.

"Can I have a piece?" Oz asked.

"I don't know, can you?" Sean replied, looking at Oz with a faintly curious expression.

The comment got a genuine smile out of Oz - a rare thing, at least in this strange place. "I think I can," he said, eyes twinkling with amusement. "Especially if you throw me a piece right now."

Behemoth looked even more bored than before.

“Fine,” he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. “Feast on whatever that is while you remain in deceitful denial.”

Sean held out a hand with gum in for Oz to take. He looked over at Behemoth who had pretty much just ruined his grin.
"Do you want some too? Are you jealous of not getting any gum?"

He grabbed the piece.

Shoving the wrapper into his pocket and popping the gum into his mouth, he began to enthusiastically chew it. The flavor bombarded him almost immediately, the perfect distraction from his aching heart. "You should try it," Oz added as he also looked over at Behemoth. "You're really missing out!"

“I do not take offerings of questionable origin,” Behemoth said simply.

"You're a questionable origin," another voice said, coming from behind Behemoth. Sean squinted to see who it was, but whoever it was was well hidden in the shadows.

Behemoth didn’t reply reply, but turned to look toward the new voice.

“It seems there is another among us.”

"Of course there's another among you! Did you guys not notice me or did you all just ignore me? I've been standing here the whole time !" the voice replied. Sounds of clothes ruffling could be heard, leading Sean to think that whoever it was was moving their arms about quite a lot.
"Have you really?"
"Yes!"
"Well we can't see you."
"Oh."
The voice stepped forward to where he could be seen.
"Hi I'm Raiden," he said with a cheerful smile and a short wave.
