Surfing. Cars. California. While they may not be as immediately recognizable, the Beach Boys - the Wilson brothers, their cousin and a family friend together created some of the most unique and interesting music to come out of the last half century.
It's the middle of February, and probably snowy and cold where most of you live. So let's think about the beach! They actually wrote many songs not about any of those things, but regardless, they will be our inspiration.
I've once again picked out ten songs. If you would like to enter, please reserve a spot. I will send you the song itself as well as the lyrics, and use it to inspire a piece of flash fiction, no more than 1000 words. Let's put the deadline a month from now, March 16th.
First prize will receive 1000 points, second prize will receive 500 points and third prize will receive 100 points. I'm not as rich as I was last time but it will still be a fun time. Additionally, all entries will be reviewed.
