@Holysocks, mermaids are the typical half fish, half humans, while sirens were originally half-woman, half-bird who lured sailors onto the rocks with their beautiful singing. The two types of creatures have gotten mixed together a lot. Mermaids don't traditionally have the beautiful, luring voices
So it depends on if we're separating the mermaids and sirens, or having mermaids that have siren-like abilities
