@XxXTheSwordsmanXxX nice character! She looks fun too.

@soundofmind the whole plot of this SB is Japan not wanting to open up to foreign relations, so your first idea is kind of off the table. The second idea, however, could work.

@Sheyren THATS WHAT I THOUGHT HAHA SORRY im just sucky w/ideas but yeah!!! I thought it'd be interesting if like, Ueda kinda doesnt mind hangin with the outcasts (whichi assume a Christian english missionary would be) since he's a peaceful dude. He'd probs enjoy talking about their shared values and stuff once they learned some words?? Like i figure they'd teach each other - the missionary teaching him english words and him teaching them japanese

But i also figure a missionary would get kicked out eventually sINCE they dont want no foreigners, so maybe the missionary is gone now but Ueda still knows enough english to tread water in a conversation

If its been a few years and he's outta practice it'd takea while for him to get back in the groove of speaking it. Or at least thats what my multi-lingual friends have expressed to me when they've had to switch back and forth. Its not easy as flippin a switch

BUT YEAH IF ANY OF THIS SEEMS LIKE "nah man thats wrong" feel free to correct me or suggest something better cuz im all ears

I love the idea, but how bout the missionary was killed by the japanese? It would give Ueda a darker history, and it would make readers really question who's the good guy and who's the bad guy. Up to you though, since he's your character.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled
and do not be afraid.

I was like "what is that Japanese Wolfie put next to her character's English name in her post?"

I should have known.

@Wolfical great post! And amazing choice of Japanese. ;)

Now everyone else can post their introductory post, but remember that in each one, Watanabe and Peter will recruit them.
