Jeanine swore, as she was treating a man who's leg had been amputated by a boulder. "Smoke poisoning, most likely. I'll get to her when I'm finished with the immediates, like this man. He would've died from blood loss if I hadn't gotten to him. Smoke poisoning can kill, but it takes a little while."

She finishes wrapping the man's leg. He had passed out. She moves to the next girl, who had a large wound on her head, probably from some rubble.

The blonde man seems to decide it's about time to join the fray, for he comes up behind Alex as he threatens and fights Hades and Perse. His sword is by his side and he simply saunters over.

"Now," he drawls. "This isn't very nice, is it?" He raises his blade and comes at Alex.
"All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

Alex blocks the blow from the blond man's sword, holding his dagger against it. His attentions are split, and he knows there's an opening at his back. He grits his teeth into a smile. His strength is wavering, and it was three powerful people against one. He knew the odds were against him and he didn't have anything else up his sleeves to defeat three supernatural god-like beings. He was, as a matter of fact, still only human. A crafty one, but he hadn't anticipated for so many otherworldly people to be drawn here at once - to fight him, nonetheless.

"Oh, no, I would say it's quite nice. I love it when three people are trying to kill me. Because killing me will bring those other people back, and make all of you feel like damn well heroes."

James nodded at Jeanine, and laid the nine-tailed fox among the other injured people. He ran off to go get more supplies for her.

"What, you think I'm doing this out of moral righteousness?" he snickers.

"As we've already said," Hades started, quickly picking up on Alex's unguarded spot, "killing you isn't what we're trying to do. We're just trying to get justice served for someone who might have murdered people - or at least harmed them."

He rushed forward. Rather than attack his open back, he goes for Alex's legs. Unless Alex is secretly a god or a human with advanced healing, an injury there would limit his ability to fight back or flee.

Alex hissed a breath of air in as he felt the sword slice at his legs, both getting hit on the back of the thigh. Alex, formerly able-bodied and nimble, found himself falling to his knees, his lower hamstrings convulsing after nearly being sliced in half. He lifted his dagger to block another anticipated blow from the blonde haired man, but he knew - he knew - he wasn't going to make it out of this on his own terms.

"Oh really?" He sputtered through grit teeth. "Cause serving justice is lookin' a lot like me dying from blood loss."

Perse held up another one of his vines. "That's the thing about cuts - you can bind them to stop the bleeding." Now that he wasn't facing resistance from Alex, he set to work doing exactly that. Alex wouldn't argue with stopping the blood flow. It did mean that they could now take him in, but he was sure that Alex prioritized his life over his freedom.

While he focused on stopping the blood, Hades turned his attention to the blond haired man. "He's injured now. I appreciate the help, but there's no need to attack him."

Alex put a hand over Perse's and looked up at Hades with pained smirk. "Oh yeah, no need to attack the bleeding guy, he's screwed anyway." He looked up to the blonde haired man. "I'm sure you'd much rather enjoy watching me writhe in pain as I'm stripped of my ability to walk and my pride, instead of just killing me now. You seem like the sort to enjoy that sort of thing."

Hades groaned. "You're not going to die from your injuries," he said, turning to Alex. "Besides the fact that Perse is taking care of your injury, news of things like this travels quickly among the gods. It won't be long until one of our friends with healing magic shows up."

Alex's smile disappeared, and he cocked his head to the side. "Can I request that I die?"
