Not yet. The original captain died in the crash and Xino is an alien they met on the planet, who will eventually become captain. Shih is in charge until Xino at least learns the language. I did mean Taz, who she flew in.

Well, people need to start noticeably disappearing soon. People you sent on patrol not coming back... Xino could piece together some foreboding messages... Encampments of other species that were there the day before being completely wiped out... That could start happening.
